Great day yesterday - fantastic venue (if a little on the warm side), and excellent food (even better than Edinburgh!)

Best of luck today to The Stripper - take it down for the BCPC!!

Also GL to Swinebag (emphasis on the swine!) - make the most of MY chips Rob (having called my 11xBB open shove with AT and beating my AQ indeed :"( )   ;D ;D ;D

Oh yeah, and a bounty on Simon Auckland - a pint to whoever knocks him out before the points!  ;D

There is something very nice about completely empty card-rooms. The gentle piped music pervades the atmosphere but there is an eerie calm as I await the gladiators. I treat myself to a cup of tea and a cheese sandwich, I avoid the blackjack, and the roulette and settle down. Everything is in place

Laptop. Check

Three books of lined paper. Check

Four pens. Check.

Three different mobile dongles. Check

One G Casino squishy stress relief device. Check

Two folders (One orange, one yellow) with my schedule for next week mapped out. This week it includes Buckingham, Reading and Brighton.

So, I am ready. I permit myself a full throated sing along to Soft Cell"s "Say Hello, Wave Goodbye" as I once again convince myself that Britain really has got talent.

Then my peace is shattered. First gladiators to arrive are Kinboshi and Chipaccrual. Limbering up for the fray.

Good luck to them, and all the others

Good luck to me.

Please tune in again at 2.30pm

For this threat alone, sorting the A/C should be priority number 1.

Good luck to....

too many people to mention who I wouldn"t mind taking this down, but a special mention to Ian Burnett....

Great to see him back at the felt and doing so well

Just back to Edinburgh - really enjoyed yesterday - great venue and nice to meet so many new faces.  :)

GL today to Leigh, Dan and Paul, and also Gary (Chelsea fan) whom I sat next to for most of the day.
