I think B&SW had chosen the same people that were on their team last year, Leigh, and I don"t think Suzanne could play last year.

Okay.  I can see their thinking in that, as they won it last year.  They may have a problem if the teams are reduced from 10 to 8.

It"s certainly causing me a headache.   ;D

Can I just say that although I"m an active member of a few other forums I want to rep APAT at this event. Should I not get picked to rep APAT I will not be participating- not trying to suck up or anything but I love what APAT stands for and having missed out on the England team for the Euro Champs and after my own appalling performance as team captain last year I want to play a part in helping APAT secure some silverware.

Okay, just throwing my hat in the ring for the APAT team too, I am not a member of any other forum, so my only chance of playing in this is if Leigh picks me!! So go on Leigh, no pressure  ;)

Has it been confirmed how many players will be in each team yet? Hopefully it will be left at 10, otherwise i will find myself left out if it had changed to 8.

Will,

It"s going to be 8 per team.  A headache for most picking teams, but it means we get 20 teams involved, so that"s got to be good.

Leigh - if it was 8 selections & 2 randoms when there were 10 places, does that mean that it"s now 6 + 2, or are you revisiting that?

From having spoken to Leigh about this a few days ago - before he went on holiday - he has done a LOT of homework and has spent a lot of time on it. Given that so many very good players applied, I would ask you now not to hold him to the +2 comment now that two slots have been taken from him.

I spoke to Leigh just before he went on holiday and he said Tighty and I could have the +2 seats.  Ian and Neil are going to run the event.  I"m absolutely delighted because it will be the first APAT event that Tighty and I have played.  Obviously we"ll have to adjust our style from loose to super loose...

I"m out of the country for less than 24 hours and look what happens.   ;D

Resort Wifi for the win, although not sure about a 3G connection at the pyramids.

Anyway, back on track, there will definitely still be at least 1 random pick, I have had over forty replies to this thread, so picking a team is proving tough.

I can confirm that Des and Tighty have not yet formally applied, but I now wait with anticipation.
