Jeez, anyone would think I mentioned it a lot  :D

Seriously, as I"ve said before, money comes and money goes, but the medal is a constant reminder of a fantastic weekend.

OK.....Now lets put it in the nice box that it came in, and put it away in the cupboard to keep it safe.

Lol

Just kidding, I am so proud of you.

Another slow day ?

Back in May, nosey-p started a thread.  It was just gone two in the afternoon, and the forum was quiet.  9 pages later, over 100 replies and over 1500 reads, and the debate was still going on.   ;D

Another Slow Day

And on the subject of brightening up a quiet afternoon on the forum, this is an absolute gem.

In your own time

Simon Auckland was starting to become the "nearly man" of APAT.  Final table after final table, but no trophy to show for it.

In season 2 he finished 9th in Scotland, 4th in Wales and 3rd in the UK Championships.  Then finally, he got the win that his consistency deserved with his win in Wales this season.

That now means that the new "nearly man" of APAT could well be John Murray.

Although John has had success as part of the triumphant Irish team in the European Team championships in season 2, his individual record shows close, but not close enough.

In season 2 he finished 5th in Wales and 6th in Ireland and this season he finished 6th in the recent Europeans.  Add to that, two other cashes and numerous day two appearances.

Will season 4 be John"s year, well we"ll find out, soon......

APAT Strategy Board

We"ve come a long way in the APAT Academy. Now threads posted to discuss hand strategy lead to numerous opinions, often with detailed explanations as to how, why, and what may happen.

APAT Academy

These only work becasue of everyone that takes the time to post initially or in reply, and are of huge interest to beginners and some of the more experienced APATers.

Where"s Tikay ?

A question that has been asked a bit lately.  Well, apart from his usual workload and keeping up his poker legend status, Tikay has been sent on a mission by Des for season 4.

Using the remaining season 3 sponsorship budget, Tikay has been scouring the globe, looking for potential venues for APAT season 4.

His quest had him searching high,

and low,

but the list of possible locations provided by Des were all getting a bit confusing for Tikay,

and one or two even made him question whether Des was winding him up,

so instead he tried out a few locations for himself,

and an old favourite, could this be a possible venue ?

If you"ve seen Tikay on your travels, feel free to post a picture to let us know about other possible venues for season 4.

In the meantime, Merry Christmas Mr Chairman, I"m sure the fruits of your travels will be revealed soon.........

What a double act

Christmas is reknowned for great performances from double acts.  Morecambe and Wise, Del and Rodney, Noel Edmonds and his christmas jumpers, but APAT has a double act up there with the best.

What Richard and Des do for APAT is quite simply extraordinary.  Their time & effort, wit & wisdom, organisation & sheer drive makes APAT tick along in what normally appears like a smooth motion from one event to another.

Well, they do that because they are not just good, they are the best.  We always say that APAT is about the players, and that is very true, but these guys work tirelessly to ensure that APAT's reputation within the poker community is as high as it can be.

I hope you both have a fantastic christmas and a successful 2010 season 4.
