poker training sites are they worth a go?
« on: December 03, 2009, 00:11:59 AM »
need to step up my game and start winning online and live, finding books helpfull but they only seem to cover certain areas.

i want something more interactive and less boring than a book, looked at poker vt and card runners but are quite expensive, just wondered if anyone has used/using any poker training sites and has any feedback good and bad and any recommendations.

its the cost more than anything i cant justify the monthly price given the amount of time id spend on it per month

try www.leggopoker.com

its not the best by all accounts but if you register - you get 7 days free trial - lots of the videos are DRM free so you can download them to your PC to watch over and over.

I registered, downloaded and de-registered within about 3 days and have about 40 vids to wade through at my leisure! ;)

hope this helps

I found that finding the time to play let alone watch the videos was a struggle, make sure you make the most of your subscription basically.

Below sites might be of interest if you"re on a budget, sadly PokerTriks isn"t putting out videos anymore but they still have some cash classics which are a great to watch and cover interesting topics. I"ve never seen any grinder school videos but they still seem active and putting videos out which is good.

I would love to setup a super micro stakes poker training site in the future if I have enough time/know the right kind of players that could make decent videos for online beginners/new to online poker players.

I suppose you"d have to charge super micro prices to watch these vids then?? Nice idea, but dont give up the day job.
