From PPM.

Dear reader,

We would like to apologise for the delay in recieving the latest issue of PokerPlayer magazine. This has been caused by a problem at the mailing house, combined with postal delays as a result of the Christmas Break and bank holidays.

As many of you know there is a PokerPlayer Online Championship tournament on X Poker tonight at 7.30pm. It is a $10 + $1 six-max NLHE event with $1,500 added by X.
To ensure you can still participate, please find your password below, so that anyone who wishes to play will have time to register by tonight.

The password is: X
Look out for the 2009 PokerPlayer Online Champ in the X Poker tournament lobby.

Thanks for your patience in this matter and we wish all our readers a happy and prosperous new year.

Best wishes
The PokerPlayer team

Hi mate

You saw on the PP forum, I was the opposite of monkeyman, I had an awful first 2 hours, was card dead and down to 500, widened my range a little and got back to 2k, was always low and just about made the top 20, then picked up a few cards and won 3 or 4 races, 2 river saves against Sinnerstar and 99 beating the flush draw of A9 being pivotal moments.

Was 3-1 behind heads up but scraped it back to all square then got rewarded for poor play, had A 10 and pushed after a flop of K 6 10 hoping he didn"t have a King, he did K 8 and after hitting 8 on the turn I was drawing to the Ace or ten and in it came on the river!

I was playing my first game on Titan and now have an ROI of 7043% !!!

Really enjoyed the game and the spirit it was played in - I had my fair share of luck and not one complaint!

I will be playing in the APAT team event for Sky Poker so look forward to seeing you there.

Mine arrived yesterday, and I was going to start a different thread re the mag, but I"ll just tag on to this one.

I have subscribed to PPM for ages now, and really enjoyed it, and loved the fact that it always gave coverage of APAT and its up coming events. So I was particularly looking forward to the European Champs report from before Christmas, and maybe a little write up about the upcoming team event in Manchester.......Nothing, zip, squadoosh. Have the PPMs editorial team taken their Bat and Ball home because of the WPT link up???

I agree that PPM is one of the best mags on the market at the moment. Due to the deal with APAT I have now also subscribed to WPT. They have an excellent write up of the Euro event.

All things considered though I would still say PPM is better.

at last......got it today, for those on tender hooks!

Flicking through it, before the 1st proper reading tomorrow morning.  I was reminded that I wanted to have a little moan about something in the previous issue.

For the Poker Stars UKIPT, it states.."great tournaments with affordable buy in"s".

Is it just me?...affordable?....£550 is the cheapest option to buy in?...since when is £550 affordable for a poker tournament.

If it is to believed your not meant to risk more than 2-5% of your total bankroll for a tournament, that is some bankroll!!!
