Individual Championship:

1st - £1,250 and Gold Medal and GUKPT Package.

The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour package comprises an expenses paid entry to a GUKPT event.  The GUKPT package is worth in the region of £1,060.

2nd - £750 and Silver Medal.

3rd - £500 and Bronze Medal.

4th to 9th - £250 each.

Alternates will not be allowed to enter this event.

The prize fund outlined above is subject to 160 paid entries at £50.00 per player.

Paying top 9 in the individual event from 160 runners is surprisingly few - how come we haven"t done the usual 10% ie top 16?

surely the additional pay outs for the teams makes up for this? as you are paying out 3 forums as well.

This is largely the reason due to 24 team players receiving some form of payment also.  The reduction in players from 200 to 160 has hit the prize pool also.

Team aspect is a different prize pool and I doubt that everyone finishing 10th - 16th will be a member of one of the top 3 teams. Could be harsh on a small number of (quite successful) people. No big deal though....
