Well somebodys got to talk about the football
« on: October 18, 2007, 13:56:54 PM »
Sigh..

I"m not looking forward to watching Euro 2008 as a neutral but now that seems the case.

First thing i"d like to say is, why does Rooney need to be making challenges outside our own box?

Secondly Paul Robinson is s**t, any decent goalkeeper parries the ball away from goal not pat it down to the feet of an attacker, the shot wasn"t that difficult to deal with.

our second half display was a joke.
lescott should not be in the squad and gerrard should be dropped after his last 2 perfonamances. iv wanted robinson out of goal for a while now, he is a liability!!

having to rely on israel beating russia in order for us to stand a chance in qualifying is a absolute joke!!

get rid of macclaren NOW... and get mourinho in before its to late. i dont like foreign managers taking charge of england, but i will make a exception for the special one :P

Yes, everyone is saying that McClaren should go but had we beaten Russsia it would have been a different story. I believe it wasn"t all too long ago that everyone was singing his praises for the previous performances. The second half was a joke but what"s done is done so it all hangs in the balance.

If we go out we go out. Doesn"t that just show we weren"t good enough? The qualifying isn"t an all out sprint and if we don"t qualify then we"ll just have to swallow our pride and say the better teams qualified and we"ll have to admit we aren"t as good as we thought we were, despite what the team sheet, on paper, suggests.

But we still have the rugby team to once again stand up for the pride of England and deliver when it matters!   ;D

i hate macclaren, regardless of weather we qualify or not. whats the point in changing from sven and appointing his side kick?? theres no change. mcclaren has not got a clue and should never have been appointed in the first place.

I don"t usually like to single out one player but Robinson has undoubtedly cost us- his keeping is shocking

If you dont put Robinson in who do you try. Our keepers are a pretty dodgy bunch at the moment, oh for the days of yesteryear when our keepers were the best in the world

I wouls rather have James or Carson in for Robinson- the guy has no confidence at the mo.

I"d even stick Robert Green or Chris Kirkland in before him and Ben Foster (who"s injured!)

Robert Green has been outstanding for us this season (yes I"m a hammer  ;D) and towards the back end of last season when he was one of the main reasons we managed to stay up. Just shows what a clueless manager McClaren is though that he sticks with a keeper who is clearly going through a bad run of form and is obviously lacking confidence both at international and club level.

As much as I believe Green deserves to at least be in the squad I"m not that fussed as everytime a West Ham player gets near the England squad they getting fecking injured (which aint that often to be fair)!!
