Congratulations to Mark Briggs (Sharky UK) who has won the Dutch Open.

Chris Greaves (chris110119) took silver, while Mark Hayward (Hayward00009) took bronze in his first APAT event.

Remarkably, five of the final nine were playing their second APAT FT.  Mark Hill (blackpuma909) had previously won the Welsh Open, while Jack Prime (techolog) was appearing in his second consecutive final, having won a silver last time out.

Thanks to all players who took part.

What a great tournament.  Came 25th, which I am quite pleased with.  I have been playing online for three years now and have been getting pretty fed up with the usual story of getting done by a rag ace or any player that will chuck their chips in on a lucky draw chance.

This was a very refreshing change.  I didn"t make the money, but thoroughly enjoyed the tournament.  Keep up the good work, I can"t wait for the next one.

Hi all

I am playing in Dublin and thought id get some practice with the Dutch online event. Well, it didnt go so well for me, this is how I busted out.

An hour and a half in and im sitting with roughly my starting stack.

Action: Raise UTG 3xBB with  7c 8c (dubious)

Called by 3 players (oops)

pot: 1800

Flop:  8s  6c 5d (good)

I bet 600

called by small blind (interesting)

pot: 3000

Turn:  qh (hmmm dont think he has one)

I bet 900

SB raises 1300 (oh oh slow playing large over pair)

I feel ive got to get lucky and make a optimistic call

pot: 5600

River:  8d (yeeesssss)

SB: goes allin and I beat him into the pot

he turns over:  9h 7c (eh?)

Straight beats my trip 8"s

Oh well, thats how it goes. Looking forward to Dublin, should be a great event.

What with winning the Asian open the previous fortnight and coming 6th in the South American open i had high hopes of another final table. Was in 16th place with 38 still in then made a terrible call with  tc jc on a board of  qd kd  ad1. Ended up all in with chip leader who showed  td :3d:. Just to rub it in he caught  jd for the royal :o  Lesson learned. :-[ Really enjoy these tourneys and my only regret is not playing in the live games. Still, there is allways next season. ;) Roll on the European open.
Remember.....its just a game!!!!
