The only positive reason for limping UTG with a monster is to wait for someone to raise so you can get your chips in.

...

Yep this.

What was your chipstack at that stage?

Ended up folding both big and small blind hands... Bubble burst and decided to shove With A-5 clubs... two clubs on the flop but it wasn"t to be my day.

Less than 10 big blinds with QQ utg - I don"t think any thinking is required; it"s just a shove

If you double up you"ve got a chance of getting cards to win some more pots after the bubble burst, if you triple up you"ve got a very playable stack

If you fold, more so if you limp fold, you might not even make it past the bubble - it would only take a couple of people getting lucky and you end up without the chips from that hand and without the min cash that you do it for.

with 7xBB, limping anything is just plain wrong. Shove it in and pray for a call.

I folded QQ preflop in an unraised pot on the bubble recently.

Bit different though when you are down to 3BB and 27th place of 31 survivors in a 30 seat satellite. Managed to crawl over the line.
