S4 Welcome to the Nottingham Poker Club
« on: March 03, 2010, 19:13:26 PM »
Welcome to the thread for the Nottingham Poker Club that plays in the APAT Online National League on Betfair Poker

Nottingham currently play in Division Two
The Password for this division is apatmember

Club Captain

Unfortunately, Daniel Phillips has decided to step down as the Nottingham captain. I"d like to thank Daniel for all his hard work in season 3.

Jack Prime   -   APAT Forum (technolog)   -   Betfair Poker Alias (SamBarnBrac)

I"m pleased to introduce Jack as the new captain of the Nottingham Poker Club. Jack has been a long time supporter of APAT, and finished 3rd in season 1"s OnLive event. I"m looking forward to seeing Jack take the Nottingham club into the 2nd division at the first attempt.

Please use this thread to discuss the Online National League, Local live games, Local Home Games or anything else to do with the Nottingham Poker Club.

Good Luck for the Season.

Hi everyone,

Matchday 1 is nearly upon us, this Sunday 7 March at 8pm on Betfair, password: apatmember.

Please ensure you have given your betfair alias on the members sign up page for your chosen club. I will ensure that these are updated before the start of the first event.

Anyone not registered to play by the time the game starts on Sunday will not have their points counted for that week or subsequent weeks until they have done so.

So its very important to ensure you are registered for your club before 8pm on Sunday.

I look forward to an exciting Season 4 in the National League and very best of luck to everyone.

Ian

Jack"s back!

I"m not sure I"ll be able to play most/many of these, but I"ll put my name down to play for Jack and Nottingham.

Cheers Daniel! Always nice to be greeted by your predecessor.

Well fellas and fella-ettes, the start of the season 4 online league is nearly upon us. Last year at the outset we were considered by many to be the strongest team and this year we know we are because, to use the old footie joke, we"re propping the other 29 teams up!

Obviously I"d like as many people as possible to play these, so if Nottingham"s your closest APAT club get signed up and get all your poker-playing mates signed up too for a fun, banterrific, juice-free, Sunday night donkfest. It doesn"t matter how good you are - the captain"s rubbish.

Last year we had 31 players. Up to now we only have 6 signed up!

Don"t leave it too late. If you haven"t already, download the Betfair software and get an account on there, then post your Betfair screen name on the Nottingham Poker Club - Members Sign Up Here thread along with your real name. It doesn"t matter if you can only play the odd one or two, your final table finish in that one tourney could give us the points that secure promotion!

I"m hoping to keep club tables so we can see who the club"s best performers and attendees are and, if possible, perhaps incentivise the fight for the top spots ;)

So, back-to-back promotions followed by a championship winning season starts tomorrow night 8pm on Betfair - password apatmember - join me there, I"d hate you to miss out on all the fun!

I"ll try to beat my massive score from last year (if that"s even possible)...

Do you mean registered to play for Nottingham or registered to play Round 3 on March 28th?

If the former, 17 (as opposed to 31 last year  :-\ - the division 3 effect). If the latter, I"m at work and can"t tell you  ;D but I will this evening.

I was thinking it would be good if we could all try to recruit a couple of mates to play - it really is important to get the numbers if we want to do well - although as we saw on Sunday, it"s not the be all and end all  ;D.

Bainn, I know you"re a member of a few fora. If you haven"t already could I ask you to do a bit of a recruiting post for those fora other than blonde and EMS? If you"d rather not then let me know and I"ll get my spamming hat (back) on!

Congratulations to the Nottingham team who have secured promotion to Division 2 for the next league.

Talk about a last ditch effort.  Well done to Jack and Christian and the rest of the team.

Well played to all.
