Luton does not have a staffing problem (comparatively)

What this guarantees, don"t know. Practice the shuffles!!

Seems things are still not filtering through.
Just phoned Luton and was told I couldn"t reserve a seat over the phone and that I had to go in to book a place. Was polite and asked the young lady if she was sure about that. She replied that was the instructions from the cardroom manager.

What about the idea of adding juice to these tournaments to enable dealers to be used throughout?

I"d pay an additional £5 on top of the £20 if it was 100% dealer dealt.

you could add what you like, they don"t physically have the staff in a lot of the estate

Thanks Richard, all sorted seat booked.

Luton was fully dealer dealt last time, but if the casinos know they can get away with just supplying dealers for the final two tables then surely thats all they will do to save on the wage bill.

What Boddddddddddddddders said.  Luton has the dealers, the juice might ensure they are supplied.  Of course, they might be supplied anyway, but if the casinos can "get away" with not providing them I"m sure that"s what they"ll do.

I would happily pay an Extra fiver or so for a full dealer tourney, but as some one stated, if the casinos don"t have the staff then they don"t have the staff.

25% juice  :o have you been drinking?

But no I never expected the Regional tournaments to be fully dealer dealt from as soon as I read that they were.  :(

Won"t make any difference, when I phoned yesterday they said they couldn"t take any reservations.

I"d pay £5 for food and dealers, yes.  I"d also get my comp drinks, a safe and friendly atmosphere in which to play poker - and it"s worth a fiver to me.

I don"t think the idea behind the regionals was to bring well-structured , one evening tournaments to the masses that have to be dealer dealt.

It"s something that Grosvenor have "inflicted" on APAT, certainly not ideal.

surely if there is no dealers. You don"t need to pre register.Dont tell me there"s not enough tables. If I was a casino manager i would guarantee dealers so people have to pre register therefor get people in 1 hour early to lose all there money before the tourney starts. No wonder its tough times at the casinos.

The reason for pre-registration is that the regionals are limited to 80 runners. It helps for those who have a long way to travel to know that they have a guaranteed seat.
