Drunk out my face on saturday evening, after a midday start in the pub watching football and rugby (i rarely get to do that now with family and work stuff) i decided to go to my local casino (circus in edinburgh) and tech them how to play poker
i arrived 10 minutes before the 1st break and managed to turn my 6k chips into 3k after one hand then 10k 3 hands later so was in a good mood.
bored during the break i ordered a pint and looking in my pocket after my change i had £12. F*%K IT i thought, 3 card poker and play it blind
sat down and after posting £2 ante and £2 pair plus bonus it was my cut of the deck
paid my £2 to play blind and i havemighty 7 high when cards got turned
so next hand i decide to play blind, tourney starts again in 2 minutes and dealer says to me, cut the deck please. i say i did it last time and its the gentleman in the no1 seats turn, she says thanks - i reply "dont thank me, his cut is gonna give me a straight flush with a 35/1 pay out). dunno if it was my drunk state but table burst out laughing.
so i play blind again once there dealt and, no i dont have a straight flush - i have 3 nines, 999, for a 33/1 payout on the pair plus and 5/1 on the usual ante
walked away from the table with around 90
from that point i felt i was freerolling in the tourney so wasnt too sick when my shove with queenswas called by ace5 suited to flop a flush
