If was a funny old night in the end, with table mechanics conspiring to leave us at the top of the shop. The final table had 2 from Liverpool, 2 from South London, 2 from Edinburgh, 2 from Bristol and a lone Manchester player. We ended up with no team points but neither did our closest rivals Manchester. Then in another twist Edinburgh managed to edge out South London and get second place. This meant we stay at the top of the league.
Our final table boys were Andy Bailey (His second final table in 3 weeks) and Andy Hawkins on his debut. Well played those two. Stewy Cannell was unlucky to go out in 11th and Kevin Fleming in 14th. At one stage we covered the first 3 places but the poker God's in another flash of vindictiveness decided it was not to be.
Kevin Fleming has an 87% running average and is the most consistent player of the team over the three weeks, it won't be long before he hits a final table. Still leading the way, in the individual point's race, is Carl followed by Andy Kingan with Andy Bailey pushing hard in third.
Your Captain left the fray by running KK into AA at the wrong time (is there ever a good time for that clash?).
We had 16 players which is a fair amount and thanks very much to you all. It would be good to up this number in order to increase our chances of gaining team points next time.
