I will post once the satellites are live, but if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask.

A quick summary of the satellites.  They will run for the next two weeks.

You are playing for a $400 package ($120 seat + $280 towards travel expenses)

If you wish to buy-in direct for this event, you only need to pay the $120.  This will be available from 9pm on Thursday 15th April 2010.

Mondays - $20 Freezeout
Tuesdays - $10 Rebuy
Wednesdays - $50 Super Satellite Freezeout

Also on Mondays and Tuesday we are running $5 feeder satellites into Wednesdays Super Satellite.

OK...next question (previous one deleted).

In the unlikely event that this sells out the 100 allocation on the 15th...are the satellites the next week for "additional" seats?

Oh...and I don"t say this to a lot of guys...nice package!

We have flexibility there.  Tighty is in constant communication with the venue, to ensure we get the right balance for seats.  Betfair will also be promoting this, so it should be a great mix of UK APATers, Betfair Players and locals for the weekend.

The seats available for the second week of satellites will be good, even if we fill the allocation from the direct buyin.

Betfair will also be promoting this, so it should be a great mix of UK APAT fish, Betfair superfish and local superaggro euromonkeys for the weekend.

I am sure many of us are unsure whether or not they can make the event in Vienna, but would like to take a punt at the satellites. If you blag a seat and then can"t go, does your Betfair account get credited with the monetry equivalent?

Mike,

Obviously you"ll get the $280 worth of expenses back into your account.  You would have to put the seat on the seat exchange board as Betfair doesn"t allow you to unregister from a tourney you have registered for through a satellite.

So, it"s a bit of both.

Good luck.

Firstly, everyone has a right to play the satellites. So the short answer is "Yes"

With that said, from a personal standpoint, I"d rather that players NOT use the satellites as a money-making opportunity.

I appreciate that there genuine cases of uncertainty but I booked the time off months ago just in case I get a seat. I"d hate to find out that I, now cannot get a seat because someone won a satellite with little or no intention of going to Vienna. This is especially true when the "seat" also includes something towards expenses.

Seriously, if you think you have a good chance of making it, fair enough, go ahead and play. If you"re really just in it to make some extra cash, I"d ask (purely on my own behalf) that you find somewhere else.

Hey, just my opinion, others will, undoubtedly differ.

I agree with Paul on this one.  Those looking at soft satellite cash action should be put off by the -ev of having to then sell the seat on the seat exchange, so I doubt it will attract those players.

Mike"s point is a fair one though, and I hope we have put on enough of a mixture of satellite buyins for everyone to feel they could give it a go at joining us in Vienna for what will be another great APAT weekend. *

*  I can guarantee it will be a great APAT weekend, because I know The Duke has already booked his flights and hotel, so merriment is guaranteed.   ;D

I agree with you both, and as fervent APAT supporter I will always endeavour to make every APAT event, but being self employed and running a business things can conspire against you, this season I am 0/2 live events due to various reasons. :"(

Just to clarify the holding tank situation for this event.

There will be two holding tanks.

The $400 one is for all satellite qualifiers.

The $120 one is for all direct buyin and will go live at 9pm on Thursday 15th April 2010.

Good luck to everyone looking to get a seat.
