I think we can safely say Kitty Lea has vastly increased her poker knowledge having been sat next to you for quite a few hours on Saturday.

I"m sure she is destined for poker stardom now.   ;D

His encouragement when he was telling her what to bet was pure comedy.....

Oh, That was Kitty Lea. I would have said hello...........didn"t get the chance though :"(

BTW well done John on the win ;D

Folds round to myself in the SB and i have  5h 5s  I have Perry (Harry Potter) in the BB with about 110K.

You sod, lol.

I am pretty sure now J.K Rowling saw me somewhere and stole my look for her book.

Unlucky mate, we both had some coinflips where it was make-or-break, but you need to have a bit of luck to win these. I would be shocked if somebody ever won a tournament and hadn"t begged for a card to come or for a player to fold.

Good luck in Aberdeen mate.

those Hendon Mob stats are false and incomplete. For example, John Murray"s record (http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=54333) doesn"t mention the most important result of all.....  his 5th place at the Portsmouth Snooker Club!!

Lol that"s right you push these marginal edges lol.

But luck also attributes to the times you win. If you win 80% of your flips, that is also lucky, because you should only win 50% of the time. Luck is part of poker, it"s just skill can minimize the luck in the game and is altogether a more important factor. I guess luck is variance, just a more superstitious term. Either way, there was no way we were letting go of the hands we had at that point in time, it was down to how the board came down, and this time, I got the luck.

But it was interesting to read your thoughts on the hand, I do find it strange how we can figure all these factors out in what is a short period of time. Especially when I try to talk about it afterwards, it just seems longer to explain.
