The Casino has been selling seats for the last 2 weeks. Most of Aberdeenshire have been waiting to see how they ran in the Nuts National Final 2 weekends ago and the Summer Series last weekend, before committing. Seats are starting to move now, 20 sold at this end, I would expect that to at least double before Saturday taking the number past the magic 100 mark. FYI there has never been a 100+ game in an Aberdeen Casino, closest we got was 98 at the beginning of this year, so with any luck you guys will be making a bit of history in this town :)
Parking is a real problem in Aberdeen, with spaces at a premium due to the huge cost of land. Overnight parking can be found close to the Casino in Union Square for £2/Night, but it will cost considerable more to leave your car there during the day. I cant comment on the availability of G"s Car Park. Those of you travelling by car, if you PM me with details of which Hotel you are in, I will advice you on best places to park.
John

Thanks for the information John. I hope that"s the only thing we go in the history books for. I think we are at the George hotel. What"s the parking situation there?

As this was clearly b@ll@cks  :)

How likely is this to fill 100 seats before the day of the eevnt?

The International Casino has emailed all 30,000 of its members with information about the event and how to register. Posters are up in the Card Room and our FB page has info on the event also.
Having spoken to APAT and Blonde members as well as our own players, I don"t see how this event isn"t filled by the end of the month.

if there are any seats left in the £75 game this weekend i will be shocked

And this is obviously closer to the mark:

What is the likelihood of spaces being open in the £75 game if i set off early enough as i am probably coming up on the Saturday?

TIA

The first statement was made when everyone was telling me the APAT games sell out in minutes online. I made it in good faith with the information I had been given at the time. I accept it doesn"t look too clever now.

If you PM me your name I will add you to the entry sheet held in our Cash Desk. The Seat will remain yours till 3pm Saturday when if you have not paid for it it will be given to an alternate.

I hope this helps and apologise for the earlier confusion

John

I was having a cheap shot at Ironside as that is always good for a laugh, I am sure you will agree that is always worth the effort. I am going to come up on Saturday and will play it if there is space left otherwise will have far too much to drink in your bar and probably donate enough in the sng"s to make my life even harder on the sunday  :D

looking forward to visiting your fine establishment and the first drink is on me. see you Saturday.

From player briefing;

"DRESS CODE

The International Casino operates a smart and casual Dress Code. To ensure that all  patrons enjoy a pleasant time in quality surroundings, entry to the premises is at the sole discretion of the reception staff"

Can someone please clarify this?  Whats the score with regards to jeans, trainers, shorts & hoodies?
