Don Roberts news.

Don"s got AK on a flop of K K 3

Now, all he needs is some action.  In this cardroom ?

Bound to happen.  Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, a player had limped with KQ.

Turn and River bring nothing and Don"s up to 52k.

A Day In The Life of Paul McGuinness

It"s been an interesting day so far for our friend Paul.

It started this morning on his flight from Manchester to Vienna via Zurich.  On the flight ot Zurich, he met an old work colleague.  Small world hey !!

They got chatting, which carried on off the plane, and through transfers.  His new friend was going to Athens, luckily for Paul, his departure gate was just next door to the Athens one, so Paul said his goodbyes, and started to queue with the other Italians (save this for later) at the next gate.

It was a long queue, and Paul was getting desperate for a call of nature.  Not being able to wait much longer, he made the dash down the departures corridor, following the signs.  This went on for a while, until he eventually got to some toilets next to Gate 67.

Gate 67 he thought, that"s my gate ?  What a spot of luck.  He"d joined a queue at the wrong departure gate, and it was only the need for him urinate that meant he wouldn"t have missed his flight.

Anyway, Paul eventually makes it to Vienna, and after getting fleeced 40 pounds (which is odd, as we are in Euroland), Paul arrives just a little late at the Casino.

Well, his tournament didn"t last too long, partly due to the fact Paul had been rushing around, and he certainly hasn"t been feeling too well lately.

So, he decides to cheer himself up and play some cash.  Two buyins later and he finds himself at the bar with Ger and Dai.  So things are picking up.

However, Paul is not really sure exactly where he is.  For the tenth time this afternoon, he has confused Vienna for Venice.  Dai has asked him did he not think it was a bit weird that he hasn"t seen much water or any gondola"s yet ?

Even the barman is laughing at this, and I think he"s German.  Paul has now moved off of the beers, which we all think was a sensible idea and he"s made a new friend.  He"s called Jack.

On a positive note, things can only get better for Paul.  He"s rooming with Ger, and we may be stuck in Vienna for quite a while.

I"m sure further chapters of this story may well follow...............................

Pity the rooms on either side.  The thundering snores coming from that room would make a herd of elephants seem quiet!

One of the bar brigade brought his wife for the weekend. Multifarious shaking of heads when he just departed to go and find out where she has been for 8 hours

the other two are talking Electricians, gondolas, Vegas and Teenage parties

Locals wise, nice bunch. Mostly German speaking, which is a bit of an unexpected problem
