Unfortunately, we will not be going back to The Fitz this year, due to the venue having logistical issues.

A venue will be announced very shortly, but we are confident it will remain in Dublin.

Just make sure it has a bar  ;D

I seem to recall that casinos aren"t legally allowed to have bars in Ireland...or am I misinformed?

Looks like you could be right Paulie.. http://www.worldgamblingreview.com/gambling/ireland/

"Irish Gambling Laws
Casino gambling in The Republic of Ireland falls under the 1956 Gaming and Lotteries Act. This law makes casino gambling illegal, except for private clubs. This loophole has allowed casinos to operate within the country, but it has also served to keep away the major companies and their mammoth gambling establishments.

Gambling winnings are tax-free in the Republic of Ireland.

To become a member of a "player club," an applicant must provide both age and residence. The methods for membership approval are regulated by the Gaming and Leisure Association of Ireland (GALA). It should also be noted that player clubs do not serve alcohol to their customers.

You must be at least 21 to become a member of a player club in The Republic of Ireland."

Noooo...we LOVE the Fitz....lucky my hotel booking is cancellable.

As soon as the new venue is known, I"ll get on the hotel search doings.

Im same Paulie, can cancel hotel phew! but would be good to get an announcement very soon to enable cheaper rates on hotels nearby.

As always...I"m more than willing to be mis-educated by Ger.

Arriving Friday evening...in the Fitz for 7.30ish I"d guess...after that, feck it..I"m game.

If you haven"t booked travel yet..Aer Lingus are currently doing a "pay taxes only" deal.

Book by 30/7. Valid for travel until December.

Worth checking out.
