Bristol have WON Division 1 Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
« on: July 04, 2010, 23:57:25 PM »
Thank you soooooooooo much to all who have supported the league.

We have won first place with top 4 players receiving seats in champion of champions.

Now it gets a bit tricky as there are 2 clear winners but 3 players on joint 3rd place.

I will update when I have more details.

Well done guys.  I have no rules for 3 into 2 when all 3 have identical records.

Fight it out amongst yourselves ?    :-[

All 3 are on 8 points, and they all finished 2nd in one matchday.

We"ll sort something out in the next week to get it resolved.

I would go for.....

1. 2 players who played the most games

2. the 2 players with the best average finish

otherwise gl with that one...

Ok to clarify the situation.

SteveLavery and reenot are clear winners. Sedgy, Madchatter and Indigo all have the same numbers of points.

First of all can the 5 players above please confirm that they are available to play.

Its on Saturday 4th / Sunday 5th December 2010 at the G Casino, Coventry.

Yippee for Bristol and yeehaa for my alter ego (Madchatter) by making it into joint 3rd position in points. I can play Coventry in December so I await the interesting solution to this dilemma. Congrats to all Bristol players who participated, and to Steve and Tony who made it comfortably into Champions of Champions.  ;)

A big thankyou to Suzy for her massive efforts in motivating everybody to play

I"d like to say Congratulations to all the Bristol players who took part, very well done especially SteveLavery and Reenot for winning a seat

As it happens I"m free on the Coventry days if I"m lucky enough to get a seat

Can I ask if there is a direct Buy-In available to the Coventry event and what the seat price would be? Maybe the 3 of us "8 pointers" could go 1/3"s on it!

If an extra seat is not available another solution could be "trial by combat" (Sit+Go Poker, not swords!). I personally would be happy to play a 4 player Heads Up tourney (3* "8pointers" plus a chance for the captain to gain a much deserved seat) for the two seats.

I"d also be happy if it"s names out of a hat, some kind of equity % split or decided any other way.At the end of the day it is practically a freeroll for us anyway!

Dave,

Nice post.  Unfortunately, the GUKPT Champion of Champions event is invite only.  It"s effectively a £150k freeroll.

We will find a fair way to get this sorted, just bear with us for a bit.

Very well done.
