Leigh, thanks for the reply, I note my name on the list and wait with baited breath.
The problem is with unanswered e-mails. I have sent 5 or 6 over the last 2 years and until you got involved they were just unanswered/unread.
That makes people think that APAT don"t give a sh1t and since the idea of APAT was to provide amateur poker players with a more professional setup to join then it degrades all the work that was done at the start.
Thanks again, now that you are involved it looks like things are starting to happen.
Mike,
For the first three years I have managed the development and administration of APAT single handedly in my own spare time, with Richard joining me for event weekends and reporting. That is everything from the commercial deals, tour scheduling, casino negotiations, database management, newsletters, awards, website, graphics, promotion and I managed to get a lot of medals despatched also!
This year; apart from planning the season and doing the deals, I have not been able to get anywhere near that level of involvement due to my main work and other committments and I appointed Tighty to manage the live part of APAT and Leigh to manage the online part. Both great additions to more formal roles with APAT.
However I take exception to your comments about how we care for our members as S4 features the largest schedule of live and online events ever and by far and away the largest value package for members, with rake free online events, GUKPT and APAT pro tournaments in their dozens and £40k in sponsorship packages. Plus live streaming, a magazine an Online League etc etc.
So apologies that you haven"t received your medal in that length of time - it isn"t good enough I accept that, but please don"t broad brush the organisation because of your poor experience. Because ultimately if we can"t administer the online medals easily and we get kicked too often over them, then they will be pulled for S5.
Regards,
Des.
