just read that the MTTs on OnGame do not have antes and have no syncro breaks.

An MTT without antes these days is just wrong - big step backward.

There are upsides and downsides to every poker room, having spent a lot of the past couple of years playing on the "Smaller" sites I find it great for getting to know your opponents, however I have to admit I miss the bigger games and I think we are going to get more choice with the move, as regards it being harder as the opponents are better than Betfair, I am sure there will be plenty of equally bad players on there. My only concerns and I have to look into this, is that I use Holdem and Omaha Manager Pro and I am just dreading A.) It not working B.) Getting used to it on the new site.
I have to say though they are splashing plenty of cash out for the move and in my honest opinion I think the more variety or games, more players can only be seen as a positive.

The "Supported Site" list at HoldemManager.com would seem to indicate that OnGame are OK.

Pretty sure they do have antes (well the CBMPT sattys on gala do anyway)

maybe the author had never reached the first hour of a tourney??

He was right about the synchro breaks (but that was the same with the old betfair software)

This move has got to be a positive one in my opinion. The current Betfair software is the worst one i have ever used and I for one will have no problems moving over to the new software and may even use it more often other than just for APAT games.

I have a gala account and can say the MTTs i played had antes. That said inyabrnt played on there for 6 months as when they upgraded to the new program I didn"t like it. Also the software had lots of problems and many tourneys got cancelled  when the software kept freezing

The sit n go"s also had antes which i thought was strange

SNGs on Stars have antes - much better with than without.

Just trying to come to terms with SNGs on iPoker - not a patch on Stars.

But the games are much softer, therefore a plus IMO

Should be interesting - I am unsure personally - that"s in part remaining unconvinced by the description of some of the upgrades but also down to the fact I"ve not played on the Ongame network so don"t know what to expect.

Personally keen to see an upgraded lobby system (both main and for tourneys) - both graphics and interface - but table stuff is fine as is, could do more harm than good if table aesthetics are the main aim of the upgrade.

Few minor thoughts that I"ve not heard mentioned/speculated on:
- Tournament ticket system (i.e. capacity to qualify and unregister - t$ sys on stars ends up creating an industry in itself but the lack of capacity to un reg and hold a ticket for one of the bigger tourneys is annoying)
- Linked to that the Sat system needs work in my view - in of itself it seems quite random but linked to the fact that you can"t select when to play stages/main it is quite poor.
- V.minor but an improvement to the account aspect would be welcomed (double log in and then currency diff...guess the latter depends on how you see the markets!)

Interesting times.....

When I first used the Betfair software it was slightly lumpy and wouldn"t function properly. I rang the helpline and they said it was because my PC wasn"t brand new and super-fast. Once I clicked the "Older Computer" option it worked fine (well, better)... will the new software require any more computer "muscle" ?
