I phoned the Grosvenor Victoria in London at 12.01 and pre-registered. I was reminded that I would have to be there an hour before to pay...so at least they are on the ball at one venue.

Phone your local and ask...you might have to make sure you speak to the cardroom as the receptionist usually don"t have a clue!

I am of the understanding that you CAN"T pre-register at regionals only in person on the day. If I miss my seat due to someone pre-registering I will make a formal complaint to APAT. >:(

Why not telephone now and avoid all the nastiness of formal complaints!  ;)

I just spoke to Cardiff and they said you have to go in person to sign up - you cannot do it over the telephone. Unfortunately I"m unable to do so, so I may just have to turn up early on the day with crossed fingers.

Has anyone else tried Cardiff?

Yes. Spoke to the cardroom tonight. They were unaware of pre-registering for Saturdays event.  They did suggest that i try again tomorrow night and speak to the cardroom manager (Sean).  He will know for certain.
