The fifth event of the APAT Online Series; the Welsh Open, will take place on Thursday November 8th at 8pm.

The event can be found through the Tournaments / Specials / APAT tab on the Blue Square client, for an entry fee of $10 + $1.

Players will start with a 5,000 chip deepstack, with the top nine scoring APAT ranking points and the top three securing APAT gold, silver and bronze medals.

The Blue Square poker client can be downloaded from www.bluesquarepoker.com.  Please note Blue Square does not offer a late registration feature, so feel free to join the 40 plus players who have registered early.

Good luck to all participating players!

If they started at 9pm, we"d finish even later!

The online tournys are on Thursdays & Saturdays every fortnight.. Obviously no Saturday this week due to the regionals taking place.
This is new for season 2 as last season they were Saturdays only, but not everyone can make a Saturday evening so Thursdays were added to give more people a chance to play.

There will always be a section of people who can"t make the Regional tournaments - sad but true.

At least until we get a regional tournament on every day of the week (and one in the day, one in the afternoon and one in the evening) anyway.  :)

Not yet, but you have to remember that the "Online Leader Board", as such isn"t going to be as interesting as the "Overall Leader Board" or the "Regional Leader Boards", as the latter two are the one"s which have added prizes attached.

I think you"ll still feel pretty proud of yourself if you know that you"re one of the best online APAT players, even if players with better live results mean that you slip further down in the overall rankings.

My hunch is that the Overall Rankings will end up being dominated by those players who have done particularly well online though, so it should be interesting to see if this prediction works out.

None here. I built up a decent stack, then donked it off with QQ v AK, putting too many in on a flop with a king.

Now rebuilding it with all-or-nothing play.  Not desperate now, so can play a little bit of poker for a wee while instead.
