Not even the prospect of a silhouetted lady running into his northern arms for a nice cuddle can console our first UK exitee

Ger Smyth bets 1,600 on the river into a 2,500 pot

board reads a monstrously scary  qc jc 8c td ts

His opponent pushes for 9,000 total, most of Ger"s stack

Ger thinks for eons and eventually folds  9d kd face up saying

"well played, I can"t call on that board"

In other News, Ger (Origin Unknown) also has around 14k and is trying to match this with his beer total.

Somewhere near to Poole in Dorset, hundreds of years ago...  Which, at the time, Poole was owned and ruled by the Irish, which is why ger has that accent..!!

For sure, he can claim he is a Brit...!!!

Tighty - keep your eyes on the action and less on the TD  ...  or, in other words,
"As you update this euro tourney, let this be your goal:
keep your eyes upon the donut, and not upon the hole" !!   ;D

Good luck to the remaining Pommies in the tourney.

Vadim Fedotov 51,000

Mr Fedotov is an interesting case. He says "I have chips I have chips take my picture"

We do

"I am famous football player"

So we google, we"re not sure, but we do find a Vadim Fedotov who plays basketball in the NBA for the Chicago Bulls

One and the same? who knows, doubt it

This chap I am told is Ari Tapani Pakarinen, a famous Finnish Poker player, playing this event. Bit like that nice Juha Helppi and that nice Jari Sointula then?

Has a way with women, clearly
