This park has a national significance as it was here that Soviet soldiers massacred innocent protestors during the first occupation at the turn of the 20th century. This statue commemorates that occasion




omg, ignorance itt... events took place in 1905 (date is written on the monument btw) and Soviet Union was formed in 1924... Also what estonians call a "first occupation" started in 1940...  ::)
