I was on the same table as you Ant for most of the night. I went on to win it.

Some lucky calls and magic folds - like my 8"s to your 6"s.

The river continued to run hot then!  Well played fella.  Well played Linziwan as well.

thanks yaparri,

saw you moving up the table after a quiet start!

Yeah, and noticed you bubbled out - what a bummer.

Better luck with your K"s next time.

Nice one rivertaff....well played!

as regards the hand in question the only way i could win was to push on the turn and hope you fold! ;)

Well played RiverTaff after a very long heads up and being a long way back I managed to crawl my way back to have a good chip lead on you.

You have no idea of the number of traps you slipped out of  ;)

Unfortunately for me I then got too cocky and put you all in after a flop and turn where I had nothing.... duh..., didn"t believe you, when you had hit top pair and and a flush draw.... bad read on my part or what   ???

That put us back to our original starting stacks....   A few hands later we were both all in you with  a pair of 9s and me with AK.......... nothing for me on the flop, nothing on the turn..... and then...... the river....... another 9, trip 9s.... Rivertaff fated to win LOL  ;D

Next time boys, be afraid, be very afraid...... the lady is on her way back....  :D

Thanks for that Ant - and yes it was a good bet that achieved its goal.

linziwan  - Yes it was a long heads up and you had done a lot of good work to turn the chip count around. Only to see my ts 9s hit top pair on the flop, 2 pair on the turn and flush on the river - back to square 1 after all that hard work.

The final hand was a coin toss and yes - maybe it was in the cards for me to win. But thanks for the great game - i"m really chuffed - see you all in Manchester!!!

Well done Rivertaff and Linziwan - enjoyed watching the game on Thursday (couldn"t play as missed the start) - my other half finished 5th (Chris, aka Boltonpair on bluesq and Pokernix with APAT).

I know there"s been a lot of concern over the online series being "open to all" but it"s good to see who finished in the top places!! (as for allowing someone in with the name of "pokert**t", no comment!   :-X)

Looking forward to Manchester

I enjoyed the game finishing 6th I think (DartMart). It"s great to play online poker against good players as it helps me learn the game. Some fun battles too.
