Chester [9th May Thursday]

horses of interest
1:45 - Sir John Hawkwood @5/1+
Assizes @14/1 might cause a upset

2:15 - Bonfire @3/1+ should win but not for me.
Danadana - could go well if not to much rain between now and race time.

2:45 - Mister Impatience @7/1+

3:15 - Baddilini
        Dashing David

3:50 - Fine n Dandy - might take some stopping.
Quincel - Dascombes other runner can"t be dismissed

4:25 - Mayaasem @11/2+
Moviesta @7/1+ [i might have a small punt on these two, depending on how the ground is riding]

so just the 5:00 Tres Coranas & John Biscuit to have a punt on, the rest i"ll watch :)

15:30 Goodwood
Ribbons - should go well if fit..
Naalatt - might cause the probable favourite a shock if she repeats her lto against Sea Shanty.

on Buckland @ 12/1 to, did see 14/1 this morning. But i do like Countrywide Flame

make that 4  :) Tres Coronas won nicely @9/1 [tad bigger on betfair :)]

CHESTER [tomorrow 9th May]
5:00 - Tres Coronas 7/1+ is ok, good run lto behind Icebuster, will run his race no matter what the going tomorrow.
John Biscuit 12/1+ is ok, 7th and 4 lengths behind Area Fifty One lto at Epsom, this form will get underestimated.

it was my only bet today [John Biscuit non runner] , i"m putting up my other fancies at the prices etc etc my horses of interest do have some thought behind it though :)

Chester [10th May Thursday]

3:50 - Personal Touch 2/1+
        Dr Red Eye 5/1+

horses of interest
1:45 - Chosen Character 11/2+
        Captain Bertie 6/1+

2:15 - Willie The Whipper 7/2+

2:45 - Memphis Tennessee - hard to split this pair, but i give MTen the edge given the ground conditions
        Mount Athos

3:15 - Storm Moon 9/2+
Dutch Masterpiece 11/2+ only negative is the draw, Effie B boosted his chances yesterday, ground no probs, Ryan
Moore doing the steering might negate the draw..
Lyric Ace  16/1+ would be my lively double figures outsider :)

4:25 - Sixties Queen
Bousatet [what a race, its awful... these 2 are token selections based on draws and pedigrees]

5:00 - Van Percy 5/1+ [not a great race again]

one for Saturday if she gets in Betfred Victoria Cup at Ascot - Tartiflette [good enough ability wise to be group class, in the past she has tended to idle when getting her head in front but the penny has dropped in her last 2 races..]

Betfred Victoria Cup at Ascot - Tartiflette - has the right conditions, should run well.. 12/1 BOG
                                            Haaf A Sixpence - 10/1 BOG

other horses of interest in the Victoria Cup
Dream Tune 14/1+
Highland Colori 16/1+
Cape Classic 11/1+

So the 3.50 is where we make our money  ;)

did you?  ;)

I"m intrested to see how Lady Frances runs in the 4.25, she is the outsider but dont take to much notice of her last run, it"s a shame it"s only a 7 runner race. Don"t think I will be backing her today but will keep an eye on her for future races

YORK [16th May]

1:45 - Cheworee 10/1+
        Bedloe"s Island 9/1+

not convinced by the probable favourite Jamaican Bolt"s lto behind Thunderball, still sticking with the horses that have shown form lto hence the two above.. Dungannon with Moore booked might run well and if the ground stays pretty much as it is then this might be to much on the soft side for Mister Manannan.

3:15 - Set The Trend 14/1+
        St Moritz 20/1+

both with solid pattern form and drawn well, no solid 4yo"s as in previous years imho.. Es Que Love and Dance And Dance could also go well at juicy odds.. The market leaders have to be took on this year, Fort Bastion is coming off a long lay off,Two For Two found his level lto at Thirsk and its hard to see further improvement, Sound Hearts light raced and stepping down in distance is making his seasonal debut and Anderiego will find this race to hot and from his draw will probably get boxed in.:)

horses of interest

2:15 - Dalkala
        Starscope

2:45 - Trading Leather

NEWBURY Lockinge
3:50 - Farhh 5/1+
        Cityscape 4/1+

if staking points wise, i"d put 3points on Farhh and 1point on Cityscape.. i"m favouring Farhh"s superior stamina in a fast race will be the clincher.

Haydock Temple Stakes
3:50 - Spirit Quartz 10/1+ bog

forget about the last run of Spirit Quartz and consider his form last year with his close seconds in the Nunthorpe and the King George Stakes behind Ortensia and 10/1 is rather generous :)
LTO behind Sole Power at Newmarket, SQ was on the stands side and never got a tow like the horses drawn center.. This time SQ is drawn one which in recent times is a positive draw plus the ground being good is in his favour, any rain won"t bother him neither... So a 2 point win on Spirit Quartz...

obvious dangers - Sole Power, Reckless Abandon and Kingsgate Native.. the first two are way to short and KN is way to inconsistent at current quoted odds as i write...

Curragh Irish 2,000 Guineas
3:20 - George Vancouver 12/1+ [a general 12/1 as i write, take nothing less than 8/1 if no withdrawals]

the cobwebs have been blown off now, hopefully copying/following what Power and Roderic O"connor did after running flat in the English 2000 guineas.. 1 point win

Curragh Greenlands Stakes
2:45 - Dandy Boy 7/1+ bog
        Parliament Square 8/1+ bog

both at current odds worth a 1 point win investment :)
