Dana --

He"s looking quite tired.

Yeah, I"ll bet. This has been a mammoth poker day, and it"s not over yet, despite the casino actually closing around us as I type.

Amsterdam or Bristol? hmmmmmmm

I assure you, one casino is very like another at 3am on a Saturday night. And the Bristol bar stays open later...

Bristol is the UK"s first 24 hour casino. We"ll be at the bar.

Hic.

We have just this second realised that we haven"t cashed in our free drinks vouchers. Benjo is on the case right now.

Big pot for Michael Martin, and not a card to be seen.  Trond had stuck in a healthy looking preflop (re?)raise of what looked like 300k... Michael then moved in to take several towers of white 5k chips and add them to the sort of dashboard of 1k chips he"s resting the big ones on...

Hey, that"s profit! Fine work ma"am.

Nope, Siktilt aren"t here, that was our Third Place Finisher Tristan McDonald.

Meanwhile Trond has raised and Michael has called. The flop has come down  kd 5c :3d: and Trond has bet around 290k. Michael has folded. We have not convinced the bar to serve us. Good thing I sneakily bought me a glass of bourbon about half an hour ago, but now I have to share it with Jen. :(

We see a turn, at which point I stop feeling sorry for myself about the bar being shut and become interested in the tournament. The board reads:

6d js 8h 5c

Trond bets big, around 400k. Michael calls. It"s a big flat call. We forget about the bar entirely and pay attention.

River -  ad

Dwellage. Then Trond goes all in, although it takes us a moment to realise it as the stacks are far too large to actually push over the line. Then more dwellage. Slight twitching. Dwellage dwellage. And a call!

Trond shows 6-8 offsuit for a flopped two pair, and I think Michael mucks because suddenly the announcey guy is telling us that it"s over.

So Michael Martin is OUT in 2nd place officially winning €368,000...

Which means that Trond Eidsvig is the WINNER of the Amsterdam Master Classics Of Poker, officially winning €620,000!

Jen"s run upstairs to get some snaps.

I"m going to make excuses for Jen to the security guys while she posts the photos. Adios!

The final moments in photo form, as the Norwegians go mental and Michael Martin quietly steps from the spotlight, having performed extremely well in the Masterclassics Main Event.  The Plate is awarded, and the casino looks like it"s going to throw us out at any minute.
