Definitely played the hand way beyond geniouseque. 73os is basically the nuts here although you should probably shove pre as if you had you probably WOULD have made the full house on the turn and quadrupled up.

Excellent use of 9th level thinking for metagame purposes though imo.  Very impressive.

Enjoy Yarm tonight, pretty sure that group of degenerates are going destroy it in less than a month so best make the most of it.

Last night I bought in to the APAT euro online 5euro rebuy job at the last minute and it was great fun :)

I took the initial rebuy straight away and spent until the end of the rebuy period peddling that 3k to varying levels of success!! The action was fast and furious and a few people on our table burned through a fair few rebuys, but I wasn"t one of them surprisingly!! After avoiding the carnage for the first hour and taking my add on, I was sat midfield on about 9k.

This was followed by a table move and meeting up with cut large and dear John, who I would be playing with for the rest of the night. Thre was also a (brief) appearance from a certain Mr Smyth, who shoved all in after I had chipped up a bit, and my AQ beat his 99 to send him packing with a solitary "FFS" for my troubles.

Granted, from here on in, I went on a bit of a heater, finding a lot of massive hands pre to short stack shoves and I soon found myself atop of the leader board. The structure never really allowed for much play but picking spots to maintain stack levels and steal blinds was great fun.

Eventually we got to the final table of 10 and the cash positions. This is where I went a little card dead.

I got KK at one point and got it aipf with dear John Murray, who managed to wake up with AA and take half my stack!! This damage was mended by calling an all in from a somewhat active player withJJ and holding so we were comfy again.

Going was tough though, and as we got to 6 handed I found a few spots to shove in, unfortunately into bigger hands, the biggest damage coming from Andy Overfish who"s 99 left me with about 500 chips, which I spun back up to 2 bb before finally succumbing and finishing 6th for 70 odd euros and some POTS points :)

The banter was superb, I have never enjoyed playing online do much, so thanks to all the players and the rail who also contributed to it all.

Well done to John and ul to Don making his comeback. Great performance mate!

PL Onaha high low tonight. That should be tilting :)

Morning!!!

How are we all?

Where to start? Well work has taken over my sunday afternoon which is lovely, I have ALOT of work to do on my management folder that they insist you have. Bloody stupid IMO, why not just let people get opn with managing folk? Why do i need a PDP and learning logs and action plans? Stupid company, I wanted to spend the day playing call of duty!!!

We fly out to Portugal this week, and I only have 2 more shifts left at work. Cant begin to express how much I am looking forward to this. We have had a damned rough ride of it recently, my Dad has been diagnosed with lung cancer and started his Chemotherapy on friday, so we have all been on edge for a few weeks now. I honestly couldnt even begin to comprehend how much this throws your life upside down when you get that news, and it has been horrible, but we are sticking together as a family, and it is all about me and Matthew being strong for my mum, dad and sister IMO. We WILL fight it, and we WILL win. End of.

So yeah, I need to go get the rest of my money for Portugal, and hope and prey that they are going to let me buy into the tournament on the day, as i couldnt afford it when Rich was sending the moneys over! Its going to be a lovely few days with some of my favourite people in the world. Bring it on!!!

After this, it is a couple weeks wait to the APAT Home Internationals, which i am utterly stoked for :) I couldnt be happier with the makeup of my team, I relaly do feel that i have 4 players who are suited ideally to the point scoring format that we are playing (not so much me as i proved in the World Championships!) and I have high hopes and expectations in what is going to be a tough event against some very tough players!

NFL Sunday today, my fantasy team has a very tough matchup against my mate Jonny. I basically need Arian Foster to run all over Buffalo and I took a huge punt by picking up the mercurial (read terrible) Michael Vick to destroy the worst defence in the NFL against New Orleans!

Beer will be had either way :D

Love you all

Stu

Hope you dad"s road to recovery is an easy one mate. Thoughts are with you and your family.

The management folder (PDP"s PLP"s and all the rest of it) will be worth it as well, managing people is not an easy task and I have huge respect for everybody who does it at any level. You are going to come across so many challenges whilst keeping an entire store worth of people happy and motivated in work and have to make some tough decisions along the way I have no doubt. You have a huge responsibility to those people to put in the time to make sure their working environment is as good as it can be. You give it to them and you will get it back. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a team you built performing on their own. You are an ideal personality do do it as well so give it your all and you will succeed.

Enjoy Portugal see you on the Thursday night in Stoke hopefully.
