Been a while since i have posted, so thank you again for all the lovely messages :)

The funeral was a lovely, lovely ceremony and we were all blown away by the amount of people who turned up, which was way way WAY beyond what we expected.

A nice wake with family and some good friends was followed personally by a trip to the pub with my best mates, who I love to bits. Was a really good way to send the old fella off :)

The amount of paperwork that needs to be done after someone dies is bloody mind-boggling. It has been a bit of a stress, but we are getting there finally. Our last goodbye to Dad (for the time being) will be on Friday by the look of it, when we scatter his ashes, its sure to be another emotional day, but its all steps on the long road ahead.

In other news, I am looking to play the GUKPT Omaha side event next week. Omaha is a game that I love, and I have put a staking thread up on here looking to sell 50% of my action. I will be playing it regardless, sold 10% so far, so if you fancy a bit of a sweat then get over there and get involved :)

Just a quick word about a good mate and one of the Stockton Massive, Brian Harland.

This man is a total hero, and a very very good poker player. As you will undoubtably know, he has a staking agreement on here, which I am lucky enough to be a part of. He has made alot of final tables for us so far, and has ran the stake up by $1800 in just 4 months so far, but I know that he is getting really down on the game at the minute.

He plays alot, and has the best temperement of anyone I know, and its not nice seeing him getting more and more knarked off at variance.

So, Brian, you are doing awesome mate, jsut keep it up and try and get back to enjoying the game. Im sre we can try and help this on a Thursday if you can get yourself down :)

Hope you are all well. x

So today is the day that i play my first ever GUKPT side event, the £75+ £8 PLO event, i really cant wait.

Stockton is NOT the mecca of PLO, and i  think that there will be some decidedly under average players taking part (GiMac is playing ffs :p ) I cant wait to get sat down and playing tonight, it starts from 6 and i am sure that i will be trying to update the staking thread and facebook as much as possible :)

Two things for you to consider StuSon

1) There is a cash PLO game at G or Gala three or four nights a week with a solid bunch of regular players who, contrary to popular opinion, have a lot of clue about the game. Ben Ning, Paul Wilson (wheelchair, middle-aged) Johnny Chan, Rocky, Luke, all make money at the game, as does your mate Adrian, not to mention Mo "welcome to England, I raise blind" Latif

2) Update in breaks, not in game. Headphones and focus are the order of the day.

cheers pops :)

I am sure there will be some people who know what they are doing, but I cant see it being that large a % of the field. Im not underestimating anyone though, and I will be playing my A game all the way through.

I have the iPod on charge as we speak, am really really really looking forward to this, its getting 100% of my focus and attention. If i go out, it wont be through me making a mistake.

Wow, not posted in here for a while!!

We are on the eve of travelling to Donington Race Track for Download festival! Much excitement in the Ward household as me, The Rock and Dave are heading down in the early hours of the morning.

We have alcohol. Lots of alcohol.

Roughly 170 cans of lager and cider, a box of wine, a bottle of Jaeger, a bottle of Absynth (real, foreign, 85% absynth, not that tat you get over here) and a bottle of apple sours. This is jsut to last us all day tomorrow and when we arent in the arena the other days (arena is open 11-11 every day)

SOme great bands are playing, there is roughly 30 we want to see over the weekend, so it is going to be awesome, as long as there isnt tooooooo much rain....

If i make it through this (im getting too fecking old) we have Coventry APAT to attend, and i really am very very excited for that too. It feels like forever since I have seen everyone, so is going to be fantastic :D

The next one I will make after that will probably be Phils last hurrah on 3/4 August, so going to have to have a proper stab at winning Coventry, as the August one will be a write off!

Hope everyone is well.

It does seem like forever. We will correct that in Coventry are you and Matt both attending. Enjoy downloading your festival.

Just read Asa"s blog and realised I havent done a cricket update!!!

This week was a good week, as my team (3rds) won away at Maltby in our local derby, which is good as they are a bunch of annoying sods! Personally took 3-24 off 6 overs. I was then called into the 1st team for a 20/20 cup match v a place called Dales, wherever that is.

We set them a target of 148 off our 20 overs, with one of our younger batsmen (18) belting 85 off 44 balls, including 3 sixes on the bounce. Was a great knock, he is gonna be a star for us in the coming years is this boy.

We took to the field, and I came on first change and took 5-0-21-2, which i was delighted with. Also snaffled my 3rd catch of the season!!

My bowling has come on alot this year, am varying my pace alot better recently and am turning it further than i ever have done. Am on 8 wickets all told now, and am aiming for 20 before the season is out.

Miss out this weekend due to the festival I am off to, but we have another winnable game v Newton Aycliffe, am sure i will be in contact with the club via twitter, where we try and do a commentary of each game that the club plays. #ycccom
