APAT are very pleased to announce details of the WCOAP "Player of the Championships" award that will be presented at the end of the five days of poker being held at DTD Nottingham from 26th August to 30th August 2010.
The player who finishes top of the "Player of the Championships" rankings will receive entry into the upcoming WSOPE Event 3 (Worth £1075), courtesy of Betfair Poker.
Players will receive "POTC" points for finishes in the following events :-
WCOAP World Amateur Poker Championship (Main Event)
WCOAP Heads Up Amateur Poker Championship
WCOAP Stud Amateur Poker Championship
WCOAP Pot Limit Omaha Amateur Poker Championship
WCOAP 6 Max Amateur Poker Championship
WCOAP H.O.R.S.E. Amateur Poker Championship
"POTC" ranking points will be scored as follows :-
1st - 15 points
2nd - 12 points
3rd - 10 points
4th - 9 points
5th - 8 points
6th - 7 points
7th - 6 points
8th - 5 points
9th - 4 points
any other cashing finish - 3 points
For the Heads Up event, the top 4 finishers will score points as above, the 4 losing quarter finalists will all score 6 points. No other players will score points.
If there is a tie at the top of the POTC rankings, the following criteria will take effect in the following order :-
The player with the most scoring events will be considered the winner.
The player with the higher individial finish will be considered the winner.
A playoff will be arranged via Betfair Poker.
"POTC" ranking points are completely separate to APAT Player of the Season ranking points.
