Betfair Poker link with APAT?

Hi, i recently just registered with APAT. I play on betfair poker and just noticed there are some tournaments coming up that are locked because they are for APAT members? How can they be unlocked so i can play in them? :as:

Welcome to APAT.  As Charlie mentioned, if you mean the League games, then you will need to join up with a poker club on the forum first, then you can register for the league games tonight.

If you don"t reg with a club, you can"t earn points.  Your local club would be your best choice.

ok, can someone explain the basics please. Im from Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Im a very keen poker player, play mostly at pubs about 3 times a week and online mostly every night........wanting to play in my first live tournament, noticed there isnt much in scotland :/ whats my best strategy to get into live tournaments locally?? :/
