Yeah I played, out around 45-50th again after the break. Didn"t see any cards all junk had to make moves. If it kills me I AM GONNA TAKE A LEG DOWN !

Yeah. sorry about that ;D...the 10xBB raise UTG screamed "Please don"t call"..and I figured you for JJ or AJ...I look down at KK (or was it AK?) and so...in it went...and my read guess was right.

Unlucky there, John...I managed to get to (I think) 14th. Don"t know where you are based but if you are in the Waterloo/Beckenham/Clapham areas ever, you can check us out on a Monday/Wednesday/Friday at London Poker Meetup

Hi Paulie
Thought I made to many all ins, one more would of not got the respect I thought so just a raise would scare someone off. But I run into your kings, of course you"d raise, thought about if for a mo was going to give it up but sometimes you have to through the poker rules out of the window and go for luck.
AJ off had chance, I put you on a high pair or A rag so was hoping to hit A on the board for the double up. Sometimes works but not this time lol
I saw your face when I turned over my hand you looked worried so I also was hoping lady luck would push it my way. Not to be.
Just hit no cards had to make moves to get some chips just betted to put players under pressure and the one hand i had all day was 99 but the girl to my right raised it right up so i thought i could not push.

Want to go to a National but want to get there on merit so come on leg 3 !
Well Played

John...Big Pair...yes (obv. as it turned out) but Ace-Rag...never-ever...Unless I"m really, really, short.

I see it all the time online, and I have no doubt everyone else has..the A-Rag players just can"t let it go...."but, but...it"s an ACE" has to be one of the most seen expressions in the chat boxes along with "but it was sooted".

Personally, the only rag that plays with my ace is a Ten (and I have to wash my hands after). :D

Erm...Table 5 I think....

The London Poker Meetup is open to everyone...ask Des..he"s one of ours (although I think Blonde had him first).

Arguably one of the most successful (localised) poker forums (or is that fora?) in the UK with over 1000 members at the last count (I grant you that we have a hardcore of 400 or so regular forum visitors and, I"d say 100 regular live players). In fact, we recently had a write-up of our Territory Challenge in Bluff Europe Online...Clicky

All our games are rake free, 100% legal, and are, to all intents and purposes, giant home games. Now don"t misunderstand me, these "home games" are held in working mens clubs, sports clubs, rooms above pubs...we run the gamut. Oh, you might be asked to stump up a £1 for room use or to contribute to buying tables/chips, we have "proper" 10 seaters in Clapham and thousands of high quality LPM branded chips.

Our "bread and butter" tournament is Jim"s Friday Game in Clapham which regularly attracts 70+ runners for a £10 Freezeout. Filthy cash games to follow of course. Then there is Steve R"s Beckenham Game on Wednesdays which, IIRC, attracts 40 or so. Steve C has a tasty little number in Twickenham on a regular basis, then there is the Tottenham mob...and Monday has a rotating variation of options in The Walrus, a pub in Waterloo.

Oh...and there is beer too...did I forget to mention that?

I played, you were the guy with the yellow tshirt on weren"t you? I think you said you"d signed up under The Rookie.  I was the one that pushed with AJ with 2 tables left and you had 8"s that held, spent loads of time on the first table with you.

Hope you made it to Manchester, with that stack you couldn"t have failed :D

Played a good game, good luck in the ME :)
