What are the green icons ?  

you can give them to any player them when you make notes about them.  Not sure of the specific meaning of the icons, but the are in a few different colours and shapes.

Nothing sinister though, on the old software I used to tag players so that I knew when they were online so I could either watch em or join in. Unfortunately adding them on the new system doesn"t seem to support this, so I gave up tagging everyone.
