Balls...just realised I"ve been posting here and forgetting to copy to my official "blog" since August.

Might spend this weekend copying and pasting, reformatting etc.

Sigh.

So....Les Croupiers lets us down...no matter, the Cardiff G will do.

Slightly disappointed as the Premier Inn I was looking at had some potential being that it was next to a pub.

Whatever, I found a cracking deal at the Future Inns - Cardiff

Booked 3 nights in a double room for £143 (Refundable) which is a few quid cheaper than the price for 2 nights anywhere else I"ve found including 2 nights at the same hotel

Apparently only bookable via the hotel"s website or I"d link through Laterooms etc.

Very walkable to the G....and you all know how much I hate to walk waddle!

Sure it means I have to take Monday morning off to drive back but that"s better than driving late Sunday night which had been my previous plan.

So...Coventry. Still haven"t decided whether to do a blog entry for it.

Sure enough it was fun but whether I have anything interesting to say about it is still uncertain in my mind. Worth recording for posterity, I dunno, I"ll have a think. Especially as I"m still mulling over the "genre" for it.

Couple of developments on the "away-day" front though.

Ever since Lloret I"ve been hoping that APAT would take us away again but, given the current climate, I understand why this has not been a priority for Des in Season 6.

When the S6 announcement came out I immediately homed in on the possibility of organising a potential "unofficial APAT weekend" in Vilamoura, Portugal because Richard "Curlage" Baker keeps banging on about it.

I mentioned this to a couple of people in Coventry and Rich set me straight on the situation in Portugal (very strict apparently) which took the wind out of my sails a bit.

However, the good news is that he"s not only picked up up the ball, he"s run with it and set everything in motion for November. Not the January (my birthday) time I"d hoped but so what.

This has rather put the pressure on...I was planning on being in Vegas...but I think the opportunity is too good to miss.

So, I"m not abandoning Vegas, just planning on moving the dates...I guess after Portugal would be best, I might fly back on one day and head straight out the next...who knows.

Now, can I afford it is the issue?

Nah!. The issue is...can I afford not to...and can you?
