This actually sounds cool go, go for a nice heathly walk before having a few beers, that way you feel like you deserve them more - excellent plan. Unforunately I have a client meeting to attend that Friday and so I will have to pass and see you all on Saturday.

Damn real life getting in the way of APAT/Poker/Beer again !!!!

will need lots of people to hide behind as they stare me out with their beady little eyes

So basically, you"re happy enough to meet and greet a few bovines then?

Close encounter with this fella recently - took a photo so I could get him arrested & charged with harrassment.

He was scarier @ full size :)

^^^^^ Its all in the eyes

Doubt I"ll be down in time Jack otherwise would have loved to get involved, not leaving the good old North East until after lunch time. Will definitely be there for when you all get back for a well deserved beer though.

I don"t think I"ve walked that far in my whole life.  I"ve heard tell of people walking for fun, but just assumed it was a joke.

Jack,

Anymore details on this ?

Likely terrain, distance etc.  Need to sort out what to pack.

I was waiting to see if anymore registered an interest.

At the moment I think it"s just you, Claire and I (think Dukey was joking :))

If the three of us are still wanting to venture out then I"ll have a look for a route. It"d be nice to pull in a hill :) and perhaps some waterside strolling. I"ll be taking walking boots - could be a bit muddy in places - but some old, sturdy shoes that you don"t mind getting dirty would be fine I"m sure.

I"ve promised Claire (on pain of death) no more than 6 miles.

Just for the avoidance of doubt, I"ll be just as happy to abandon the plan and make an early start at the bar ;D

I"ll leave it down to you to decide then.

I"ll pack my walking stuff anyway, if it"s just 6 miles, I"ll travel light.   ;D

mud? hills?  I have walking boots.  I"ve not worn them for some time though and I don"t want to risk getting blisters right before a big night out.  shall we go on a pub crawl instead - that will involve lots of walking?
