Small hiccup

I am informed today by the venue for the first time that for "legal reasons" the comp has to start at 6pm local

Trying to clarify, but I assume this is both days

Please tell anyone you see over there, and keep checking the forum

Alternatively I am on 07887 987044!

4am onwards certainly

one of those things, sorry. A misunderstanding/lost in translation thing

Much will depend on how many runners we get as to what we have to do to finish before our flights back!!

Of course sleeping is allowed...provided it"s done in a quiet corner of the bar and you don"t mind waking up with your shoelaces tied together and genitalia inked on your forehead.

Not that I need it (I know the word for beer in Spanish) but Google now have an alpha release of a new Android app..."Google Translate" with a "conversation mode"

Quote

Currently, you can only use Conversation Mode when translating between English and Spanish. In conversation mode, simply press the microphone for your language and start speaking. Google Translate will translate your speech and read the translation out loud. Your conversation partner can then respond in their language, and you'll hear the translation spoken back to you.

Currently only working in Spanish (which is handy for this weekend)...but the future is here!

Have it installed - not sure whether it requires an internet connection at time of use - must check

If you read the page carefully, it says "Summer Season"...nor does it mention a location...but, nice try.

Just got a text from Ian Thompson (Pables) who is currently in some hotel near Gatwick.

"Just a thought does anyone wanna buy different drinks at duty free on way out for cocktail purposes? Sorry if this seems random but I am semi slaughtered"

Two points here.  Firstly, who would we entrust to mix the aforementioned cocktails.  And secondly, how dare Ian start drinking ahead of The Duke for the weekend.   ;D
