Just back from the ECOSTT...and what a superb set of tournies they were.
The Final was an awesome experience and with 30,000 euros to the winner, a life-changing possibility for me.

Of the 20 players, 2 of them were WSOP bracelet winners and they were ALL tough players.

After my 9-8 double-up, I took down a monster pot against an aggressive Kosovan / Swedish player to move up to 112k but then had to fold AQ to the same guy when out of position to go down to 80k.

My next big hand was holding 7-7 in the SB when the shortstack shoved for 14k. I was preparing to call but a re-shove to 32k forced me to fold and the re-shover hit a flush holding A-6 sooted.....but I (would have) flopped a set and rivered a FH (and been on 165k as chip-leader) !!

I made the FT to lock-up 3100 euros but 6 of the 10 were below 58k at a blind level of 4k / 8k so it was set to get a little tasty very quickly. What we didn"t expect was that clash to come between the 2 monster stacks.

Chip-leader, 6"10" American basketball player Ben Logan, who currently lives in Denmark, raised the pot to 22k and was called by my pal KosoSwede in the BB.
The flop came    7s   7h    6d  and both players checked.

The turn was a   8h  and  the BB checks. Ben raises to 25k and was re-raised to 56k. Ben asked how much he had behind and then put him all-in and was called by KosoSwede who held    7c    9h   while Ben had the made hand with    9c    tc   for a straight.......but the river incredibly brought the    7d  to keep the K-Swede in the game.

I was totally card-dead at the FT and after letting the blinds through once I shoved with K-8 and got back to 49k.
A fellow Ladbrokes player then ran K-J into A-A to exit in 10th and then on the very next hand I was in UTG with K-J off. Do I shove or do I pass and possibly ladder 2,3 or 4 places before I reach that position again ?
I decided to push but Peter Varga woke up with Q-Q and I was out in 9th for 4250 euros.

I second-guessed that play over and over as the ladders were 800, then 1100, then 1500 euros for the next 3 places and what made it worse was that 3 players went out in the next 5 hands !!
What would you have done guys ??

The KosoSwede and Ben Logan ended up heads-up at the end with Koso taking it down for 30,500 plus a watch worth 2k more. He was a quality opponent and deserved the Title.

All in all, a fantastic experience and bring on the next one.

Thanx for all your support and good wishes and to those who backed me in cash, I will get your winnings to you soon :)

well played Brian, you are the man!!

I"d have shoved as well in your spot and shot for the moon. Shoving UTG light 9 handed is never fun, but with your stack, not much of an option...just hit a K next time please

I agree with Rob, could"ve worked out differently if you hadn"t run into the QQ. Tough spot UTG but doubt you could"ve waited around much longer by sounds of it.

Well played Brian and even more so with a very tough field.
