Harrahs Las Vegas Room Rates:

11/13 through 11/17- $30.00 per night; 11/18 and 11/19- $70.00 per night; 11/20 through 11/24- $30.00 per night

*Guest can upgrade to a newly remodeled Deluxe room for only an additional $30.00 per night

Caesars Palace Las Vegas Room Rates:

11/13 through 11/15- $79.00 per night; 11/16 and 11/17- $89.00 per night; 11/18: $159.00; 11/19: $129.00; 11/20
through 11/24- $79.00 per night

Richard, I got your message but apologies for not getting back to you earlier. This is a pretty good rate but I would be interested to know which CLASS of rooms are on offer at Harrahs  / Caesars.

From reading the above, it would appear that they are offering upgrades to the Deluxe at Harrahs so I"m assuming it"s the Classic or Luxury room but I would be interested in knowing which.

It might also be nice to confirm the Caesars room type.

All in all, a pretty good deal for the Vegas newbies and those who have (as I have) run down the comps.

As it is, it looks like a no-brainer...we have until 30 days before to find a better rate or ring in and use the group booking code to make a reservation.

My only issue and it"s not related to the cost, is the number of rooms...would they be willing to make it a block of 10...or even 20? From my reading of this thread, this thing could get HUGE!

Of course "No Resort Fee" means appx $15 a day for in room internet, if required.

Alan, that"s $15 PER DEVICE.....so if you have 3 laptops between you in 4 person room...that"s $45 per day...it mounts up.

I"m thinking of investing in a small travel wifi router that counts as one device when you plug it in to the cable and then feed off that....the Apple Airport Express.

Hi Paulie

The rates at both hotels are for the basic room, so at Hurrahs it"s the classic and whatever the Caesars equivalent is. The cost for 7 nights @ Hurrahs therefore is $290.00 plus 12% tax = $324.80 divided @ $1.60/£1 = £203.00
= £29.00 per room per night.

I suggested to them that we book 20-25 rooms (20 classic maybe and 5 deluxe) which they said was fine. They would happily add additional rooms should the quota fill up.

I think that given the location and the fact that we can all be fairly well together, £29.00 per night seems pretty good.

Sounds bloody splendid to me.

Agreed, its looking about 30% off of prices for Harrahs atm. So as Paulie says its a no brainer.

Richard, when you get the codes pleases send via PM. Thanks for doing this.

I have the flight booked via Manchester on the 17th and will hopefully traveling with Stu, Philtc and the Stockton Rock, this deal seems spot on for myself so would be up for taking advantage of the rates on offer. I am waiting for the others to get in touch but hopefully they will be interested.

Cheers Richard,

Much as I expected then.

If I may be so bold, perhaps you could go ahead and ask them to issue the Group Code to you. .

As for how we should disseminate it, I would hesitate to publish it in an open forum so perhaps it should be done via PM to those who ask for it and are "known" APATers...or am I being too paranoid?

Very well done Sir and thank you for taking the initiative.

I"m in by the way.

The Vegas trip is top of my list for attending this year and have been reading this thread for tips etc.  So i am a little big worried by this comment of "known".

I feel personally that any discussion for a group booking on this thread should me made available to all members of APAT ? Surely this would lead to a cheaper deal for all.

Although i do appreciate that Curlarge has clearly put some work into looking out this deal and he may not want people hijacking or benefiting off his hard work.

Paulie is of course saying that this is great for all people on the forum, I suppose he is just worried about "guests" getting the code.

Big thanks to Rich for brokering this deal as well.

Exactly....

It"s tough to define "known"...ideally, I"d say someone who has at least 50/100 posts (at the time they ask) or has been a member for a year (for the quiet lurkers) but that seems arbitrary..or is it?

I"m not trying to be "cliquey" other than I wouldn"t want this deal wasted, and "real" APATers being disadvantaged by it being used up by some random who finds it in an open forum and throws it out to the rest of the world

But...as I said, perhaps I"m being too paranoid.

Totally agree with the idea of a "pm" to all APATers interested.  My concern was the "known" as because outside the Scottish lads i would not consider myself known to the majority of APAT and i am more the "quiet lurker" type on the forum.

I think a more likely problem is that there won"t be enough people booking under the "group" code for the hotel to think it was worthwhile for them to have provided it. I don"t know exactly what they"d do in that situation, but it"s obviously preferable for it to be avoided.

I agree, it"s not like you"ve ever won any medals in APAT events or anything Chris.   ;)

I would be very surprised if the hotel would ever be unhappy  because they have more bookings, so whatever deal is arranged is never going to be capped.

Spoke to Rich on the weekend about this, and many thanks to him for putting the work into getting the deal.  I"m sure anyone that pm"s him through the forum, he would be happy to pass on the code for, as everyone benefits.

And the more drinks he will get bought in Vegas as a thankyou.   ;)
