Neil, is it not worth booking a train to London the night before and staying in a Travelodge or something - save about 7hrs each way flying time and prob a good £200 hopefully.

Actually - forget that.

GLA - LGW w/ Easyjet - £19.99 per person. Take off @ 7.25pm and land at LGW at 8.50pm on Nov 16th.

Travelodge - Heathrow Airport Terminal 5. £31.25 for the night of Nov 16th.

Fly from LHR to LAS w/ Delta Airlines @ 9.25am on the 17th. 1 connection in Detroit. Land in LAS at 5.22pm. Total flying time - 15hr57m including connection waiting.

Fly back from LAS to LHR on Nov 24th w/ Delta leaving LAS at 10.45am and landing at LHR at 9.25am on the 25th. Total flying time including connection at JFK is 14h 40m. Total cost of flights for 2 people is £775.

Fly back from LGW to GLA w/ Easyjet leaving at 1.25pm on the 25th and landing at GLA at 2.55pm. £28.99pp.

Add on £36 for checked bags on Easyjet.

Total cost: Around £900.

The only other idea I had would be to drive down to Duke"s on the 16th, dump your car at his and travel with that lot to Manchester airport. Fly indirect for £800 with KLM/Delta and then drive home when you all land.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I really appreciate them. I had an 18 hour work day yesterday so haven"t seen these responses until now.

Adam"s suggestion of flight night before, then LGW to LHR, Travelodge is too much of a travel / hassle / additional expense but appreciated. I don"t mind the overall cost too much - I just want to find a good balance of convenient travelling, total travelling time, nice hotel and total cost and so far I"m hitting £1500 for the two of us. Which is fine.

Search will continue tonight...

I"m thinking that we might like to book space in Carnaval Court for 17th.

Doesn"t have to be as soon as you lot touch down...perhaps for 7pm "till late...that should give you time to have a nap?

Is anyone interested? If so, I can make enquiries.

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.

Actual poker discussion in this thread? Have you all forgotten where we"re...oh, yeah.

Count me out of CC, well I"ll come down at about 7 if I"m not running around doing wedding stuff, but I have to be at McCarran at 9pm to meet my mother off the plane.

As for poker, the following tournaments are my recommendation:

$150 Venetian Noon (from 21/11/11)
$75 Orleans HORSE (Friday @ Midday or Sunday @ 7pm)

I also hear the Strat has the old Sahara tourneys that people were raving about.

Cash game wise, I shall be found at 3/6 LHE and the Sunday night MIX game at IP. Also gonna try and get to (if they"re running, so make a note, Jon MW) Tropicana on a Tuesday night for some $2-$8 Spread Razz. $1 ante, $2 bring. Trop also have HORSE cash games on a Weds and Dealer"s Choice on a Sat. Right now, all these games are $3 max rake for mixed/limit (best on Strip) and offer $6 per hour comps between 4pm-8pm.

Yes, $6 per hour

Flights from Glasgow, two stops, reasonable flight times and stops.

6 nights in a 700 sq foot room at The Venetian

£1152 in total. The finger hovers over the "Book Now" button... checking I haven"t misread anything...
