Thanks all!! Think I might quit before my results start to regress to the mean.
Played four tournaments this year. The APAT one was a disaster (standard), but then I finished 6th in a £25 deepstack at DTD, two weeks ago 2nd in the £100 6-max, and then luckboxed my way through the £300 this weekend!
I played some decent poker, but was more than aided by a hand relatively early doors when I had AA and managed to get two people to call all-in with KK and QQ (somehow the aces held).
Actually, only five minutes into the event and I was all-in. 97o on the button, and a flop of 58J and a double-belly buster. The turn was a 6, and Pete Wigglesworth bet out, and I raised, he shoved and I obviously snapped. I was hoping he had a set, but unfortunately, he also had 97o! So a little bit of excitement over nothing.
Other than that, I didn"t see aces again for the whole tournament! That didn"t matter so much as I had KK a few thousand times, on a couple of occasions all-in pre against QQ, and of course on the final table against AK to double up to a mirrion chips!
