I"ll be voting for phil Taylor

Though sadly won"t be putting my money on it.

Guy is a sporting genius.

Think AP would be worthy winner too

Torn between 2 of my all time sporting heros; both legends AP McCoy or Phil Taylor FTW

Phil Taylor would be an excellent choice, but is Darts fashionable enough for him to get the votes?

No one can doubt Phil Taylors ability but is darts a sport? My choice would be G Mac, to win the US open and then clinch the Ryder cup was probably the best moment of sport this year, so go the G man!

+1

Also if they keep the word Personality in the title, it should keep Phil Taylor, and AP from winning this

Ryan Giggs won it last year!

Surely Darts & Golf are two of a kind inasmuch as they both fail the "getting sweaty" test. So either they are both sports or neither of them is.

The Power all the way..

Oh and any activity which manages to draw in cash converters as a sponsor surpasses sport!

I dont want to get too much into the "Is Darts a Sport?" question.

But I will say that it is Taylor that makes it a sport. HE is dedicated, puts hours of practice in, is even working out so he can remain at the top of his game and he also displays a huge mental strength that allows his talent to come through on the big stage. These are sporting qualities

However, a lot of the other players who Taylor consistently beat do not have the dedication and are too mentally frail to be considered sportsmen IMO and the quality of opposition is probably the reason why Taylor will sadly never get voted SPOTY or get the Knighthood he so thoroughly deserves.
