I used to play Tight End in the UK American Football league

People assume it"s because I am tight at Poker. Of course, nothing could be further from the truth.

Okay, I get that one, but what about "TINY" ?

Pears was a nickname at Uni, still used by that circle of friends. Long, fruit-based story.

27 is the magic number. People have a natural intrinsic inclination towards it. See how many times a "randomly" selected number by an actual person turns out to be a sub-conscious choice of 27. More than any other number, I promise.

My old Betfair name was adidap, which stood for All Day I Dream About Poker.

A bow for my personal favored actor Steve McQueen and his role as Eric Stoner in one of his most impressive movies "The Cincinnati Kid". For me he was the greatest actor ever.

Oh good, an excuse to post this story again.... ;D

July 4th 2007 (a miserable day weatherwise) was the annual Carlsberg Golf Day at The Forest of Arden Championship Course. Independence Day Themed and I was on Team America (we won) and my fourball won the best group for which I still have a nice Crystal Jug (I"ve played quite a bit of golf but haven"t won much)

Anyway the highlight of the day (and my golfing "career" tbh) came on the 5th hole - A 163-yard par 3, I take my 4-iron (I hit like a girl ok!!), a sweet strike and it sails to the green moving a little left to right and rolls gently to the pin, rests against the flag for about 20 seconds leaving us wondering from back at the tee (Is it? Isn"t it?) before dropping into the hole for the happiest, and most expensive, golf shot of my life.

An Ace.... on the 5th.

5th Card = River

Mine was tagged to be by some mates who always played higher than me and always bought directly into comps and I always joined them but via satellites - the phrase What a Satellite Player became WASP and then soon became What a Sh1te Player lol

It wasn"t until I started using forums that people thought I was some sort of right wing extremist  ???

Nah, nothing that interesting though.  I"m an accountant, and the word accrual is used a lot in my profession.

Without boring everyone in the technical details of it, accrual can be defined as an addition, grow by addition, accumulate, so chipaccrual is in essence accumulating chips in terms of the game of poker.

So, in answer to your question, yes, definite irony.   ;D

Suprisingly it has nothing to do with my tendancy to "snap".

As a Dublin native living and working in my adopted home Drogheda, my accent stood out just a tad, this at a time when

Roddy Doyles Dublin based "The Snapper" was released as a TV film. The nickname stuck.
