Just been looking to organise some Euros for the weekend.

How ironic that post the Brexit vote, £1 is now pretty much equal to €1.

Went out for a few cheeky ones with Tom and Lucy last night in Dublin City.

A few bars, and a nice bite to eat.  So we decide to head back to the hotel and catch up with the pokers.  Tom get his phone out and app"s us a taxi, which turns up in a few minutes.

"Awright Tom says the driver"

Nothing unusual there, he"s booked online, so they"ll know his name.

Drives then goes on to chat about he poker at the Regency, the IPO, the APAT, the numbers in the event.  Why the number for the IPO were low, Grosvenor Poker, the Microgaming Network, problems with logins, not enough satellites.

I"m sat in the back thinking, wow this guy knows his stuff, how random.

Turns out the driver was Paul Byrne, brother of our very own Brendan.

What a small world, or perhaps more a case of "only in Ireland"  :)

Reminds me of my ill-fated journey to Dublin by ferry with Paul McGuinness.

After many a travail we finally arrive in Dublin Port and manage to call a taxi.

Eventually said hackney arrives and Paul sticks his head in the window and says "McGuiness?"...the drives nods and we pile in.

We have to tell the driver again where we want to go as he seems to have the information wrong...turns out we"s snaffled someone else"s cab and the driver"s name was McGuiness!
