The inagural APAT OnLive Amateur Poker Championship will be the final event of Season One. The event is a unique concept that will be played across online and live cardrooms before drawing APAT's highly successful first season to a close.
OnLive Satellites:
Satellites for entry into the OnLive event will be held via Blue Square on Thursday and Friday of this week (November 29th and 30th) at 8.00pm. The buy in will be $10 + $1. The event can be found via the Tournaments / Special / APAT tab on the Blue Square Poker client.
OnLive Championship Event:
The online stage of the Championship event will be played via headline sponsor Blue Square on December 2nd at 2.30pm, and will see APAT members receive 10,000 chips and a 15 minute clock for a $100 + $10 buy-in. Qualifiers from the satellites mentioned above will be automatically entered into Sunday"s Championship event.
The final six players will conclude the event at a live final table, to take place on December 15th at 2.30pm at the Grosvenor London Victoria casino, where the winner will take home a significant first prize, Championship Cup, Gold Medal and an expenses paid entry to the World Series of Poker main event in Las Vegas, worth over $12,000.
Uniquely, the six finalists will start the live final table with the same chipstack they held at completion of the online stage.
This event will also determine the final standings in the APAT Rankings, with the player of the year receiving an expenses paid entry to the European Poker Tour event being held in the Caribbean in January.
For this level of buy in, the OnLive Championship will offer tremendous value; with a World Series of Poker expenses paid entry, worth $12,000, added to the prize pool by APAT tour sponsor Blue Square.
