All the players we know are agog, circulating as I did at my dinner break, at the pace of play here.

Darren Shallis was telling me the standard opening raise at his tabvle in level 1, 25-50, was 700 and that some players are playing every pot.

Some APAT veterans of the sharkpit that was Vienna are saying play here beats that for sheer aggressiveness and gamble

With half the field now on their dinner break we are down to 81 of 140

Dinner update

Salads, nice fish, chicken stew, onion soup, sausages

Lovely little chocolate patisserie puddings too

Free wine. This appealed to some mightily. In fact I think the Ellsemere Port raiding party have settled into the buffet area for the night

8 out of 10 tighty stars for me for the buffet.

One mark off for sausages that were cooked on one side and not on the other. Most odd. Turn them over in the pan man!!

Here"s a hand for you between Gareth Cash and Oriol Sanchez Hidalgo.

Oriol has  ah :2h:

Gareth has  jh 9h

They see a flop of  ac  th  8h

Oriol bets, Gareth calls.

Turn is  7s

Oriol bets, Gareth calls

River is  qh

The rest of the chips go in, and Gareth gets the double up to 25k.

he runs good
