Hats off to the Italians... the scenes at the end almost brought a tear to the eye.

Great scenes at the Stadio Flaminio!!!!!

Very pleased for the Italians; only a matter of time before they turn the English over too :(

Scrappy but entertaining game, what is the obsession with the grubber kick or the dink over the top! Ireland look more likely with the ball in hand, Wales seem indecisive, on a couple of occasions they have overlaps and delayed and its come to nothing. Anybodies game.

Well I"ll settle for 6 points and not the predicted 5. But gotta feel sorry for the Irish, that should never have been a try. But what was Paddy Wallace doing at the end, with the line begging!!

... great work from the line judge ... simple job ... maybe they should put a special bell in the ball so it"s easy to tell if it"s the right one ... Ding Ding ...

Yep hats off to the Jocks who put up a brave fight, particularly up front, their play in the loose was excellent, and what about Patterson"s tackle. But England prevailed, and the Grand Slam is still on! :)

I did love the French Coach"s press statement after the Italian game :-

Quote

Earlier on Sunday, Lievremont launched a scathing attack on his players for their display against Italy.

"Do I feel responsible for that? No, they betrayed us, they have betrayed me and they have betrayed the French national team shirt," he said.

"In terms of the tactics deployed, it defied belief. I did not recognise anything in their performance that we had worked on.

"Do you really think that I told them to play as they did against Italy? I was ashamed. I do not have the impression we asked them to walk on the moon. I do not ask for complicated things.

"This match was an hallucination. I do not want to absolve myself of blame but they invented things on the pitch."

"They are lacking in courage. They are good guys but cursed with what is obviously cowardice," added Lievremont, who refused to address the players after the match, such was his fury, and only singled out captain Thierry Dusautoir and wing Vincent Clerc for praise.

Grand Slam weekend! Lets hope so. :)
Scotland v Italy, Scotland by 5
France v Wales , Going for a famous victory for the Welsh, by 3 points
The big one. Ireland will bring it to England, and it is going to be mightily tough, but England will have too much for the Irish and prevail by 8 points.
