Leigh, just thinking as we are closest to most of northern Europe can we be renamed the "Stockton on Tees and European all stars mega team" please? Kinda catchy. Many thanks.

We have one  ;D

But he only played one game last season...

For which he was sat out for the whole tourny...

Hmmm.. "Stockton on Tees and some European who don"t play all stars mega team" doesnt have the same ring to it :(

It was actually brought about when Ant Williams declined to Captain Birmingham this season as he felt he had taken it as far as he could and could not get any more players regularly involved.

I don"t recall "declining" to be captain I just said it was possibly time for someone else to take up the mantel. And don"t quote me on the latter because i don"t recall saying that to anyone either. ::)

All Ireland joint team ftw... ;D

Just saw this ( I"m a bit slow :-[)

and this, Doh!

There are currently 4 players signed up for Belfast.  Can we request a merge?

Leigh, can you please take a look at this as an option. A merge of Dublin and Belfast Clubs (both get 6-10 runners on average) will replace two less than competitive teams with one genuine contender. I suspect this will keep some players in the league that we have a significant chance of loosing.

Take a look at the paltry activity......

I didnt play much last year as sunday bad night for me so not sure on number s but told walsall had a lot of players with a few from birmingham but thats gone now and can understand putting brum and walsall together but looks like they going to have such an advantage purely from numbers game. Merging teams was to make it more competive i believed this will not make it so.

According to THIS the newly merged West Mids team has less players than Liverpool.....

Congratulations to West Midlands on winning Season 5 league, and the foreseeable future leagues.

It was a miracle for Solent to run Walsall so close last time, but I can"t see it happening again, now that the dominant team in the league has been reinforced further. Not a very good decision.

Perhaps some of the other captains would be interested in clubbing together for a prize of some sort so our players have something to play for?

So, who won last night and is now joint top after 2 rounds??

Also, with 27 players, West Midlands is now simply on a par with Solent, although still far behind Liverpool and Luton in terms of player volume.

LOL so much fuss about nothing.
