Achim,

would be great to met up again with you for this.

The idea on meeting up again on the Friday is being discussed already, so I"m hopeful this will happen again.

Still can"t see why APAT Luton are not permitted to put out a team for this event.

It"s like the host not being able to play in the World Cup Finals. Luton is pretty much the only venue within comparatively easy travelling distance for me and it is now hosting an event I can"t play in  :"(

When is a team not a team? that"s the question........

The host is APAT - and the APAT forum will have a team.

And if I have my way, APAT will have two teams representing them this year, allowing two different areas of the APAT community to play the event.

I was going to put, "and if APAT have 2 teams, then it"s unlikely that they would be APAT and APAT Luton", but decided on the simpler approach in the end  :D

My advice to the Luton lot would be to form the BLPC, create a forum and bingo you are all set.

I can"t say that I agree with the idea of an APAT Luton team, but the idea of a team from Luton has to be a goer. There is a great pokering community from Luton with some top guys and gals in their ranks who would grace this tourney.

It"s not quite that simple...Larry Murphy"s anyone!?

The BCPC is an interesting one....they don"t actually have a forum but get a team in anyway.

It"s all about an ESTABLISHED group independent of APAT (although there will be overlap, of course) that hasn"t been formed JUST to get a team into this event.

Or at least that"s the way it"s worked in previous years...Des/Tighty might have other plans this year!

I"m not saying form the BLPC and a forum just to get into the APAT comp.
I meant that there is a strong poker community in Luton that is well established, but it is a very informal. By putting a bit more formality to everything then I can"t think there would be too much objection to them having a team in the APAT comp.

As for the BCPC, again, can"t think of any reason why they would not be considered. True they don"t have a forum, but having a forum is not one of the criteria for selection...is it?
