Final event details for players entered in the APAT English Amateur Poker Championship in association with 888.com on 26th-27th March 2011 and the PLO of the Specialist Series are as follows:

DRESS CODE


Clean and tidy dress is strongly recommended.  The dress code is smart casual. No football tops and no hoodies on the gaming floor, but jeans are fine.

CASINO REGISTRATION

Will be available at the venue.

Players will have to register with the Casino prior to being able to play in these events.  We actively encourage every APAT member to turn up as early as possible to complete your registration at reception. Alternatively please fill out your details at http://www.grosvenorcasinos.com/join/ to save time on the day

Players can leave the venue after registration but we encourage you to be back in your allocated seats by 2.15pm (for a 2.30pm start).  However, it is not obligatory to be in your seat at the start of the events.

Please note that any friends or family members that wish to accompany you into the Casino will also have to become a Casino member also.

Registration is only available to individuals aged 18 years of age and older, with a valid proof of identification.


IDENTIFICATION

Please bring a valid Passport or Drivers License. Your guests will also need to bring a similar proof of identity.

If you cannot present valid identification to the Casino, you will not be allowed to enter the premises.

ENTRY FEE


The buy in for the Amateur Championship is £75 and a registration fee will not be charged. A Player List will be on the forum later this week. The event is sold out.

The buy in for the Specialist Series is £25+£5.  Seats for this event will be allocated on a first come first served basis to players from 4pm on Saturday via the Cash Desk at the venue.

SCHEDULE

Amateur Championship

This event will run over two days.  Play commences at 2.30pm on Saturday.

Play is expected to finish at around 1.00am on day one.  Players left in will return for a 2.30pm start on Sunday, with the final expected to finish around 10.00pm that evening.

Due to the nature of tournament Poker, end of day timings are estimated.

Specialist Series - PLO

This event will run on Sunday from 2.30pm, to a finish.

FIELD


The Amateur Championship field will be made up of 150 players plus alternates during the first two levels.

The Specialist Series event will be capped at a maximum of 50 players.

PRIZES

The prize pool breakdown will be confirmed at the Casino when the final number of runners in each event is reached.

The winner of the Amateur Championship will win an entry to a UKIPT main event and the top three finishers in the Amateur Championship Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.

The Winner of the Amateur Championship event will also win the English Amateur Championship trophy.

ALTERNATES


Alternates will be allowed the opportunity to take part during the first two levels of the Amateur Championship event.

Please note that all entrance fees will be paid out in prize money.  APAT will not retain any fee for running this event for our members.

BUFFET

There will be no buffet for players at this event. Players are free to order from the menus available at the venue throughout the day

PRESS

The events will be streamed live on APAT tv over the weekend.  In addition, Journalists from a number of Poker magazines and a photographer will be present on both days.  We hope to feature a number of images from the tournament on our website and in APAT Magazine after the event.

By entering this tournament you accept that your image may be used in APAT TV, press and marketing campaigns.

LIVE UPDATE

Technology allowing, APAT intend to run a live update on the event and we will be posting player pictures and chip counts throughout the weekend.  Feel free to tell your friends and family, who can follow your progress on the forum.  Guests will need to register on the forum to see pictures from the event.  Registration is free.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please note the event is subject to the terms & conditions of the Amateur Poker Association & Tour.

CANCELLATIONS

Once a seat has been sold, refunds will not be made.

Players will be able to utilise the APAT Seat Exchange board to trade their seat at the face value.

Seat Exchange Guidelines apply.

Shame we are not going to Bolton this season.

I could have looked forward to NOT having the buffet.

I hope the new structure works out, with us loosing an hour this Sunday it could be a long night. By the time Richard and Leigh have finished the sun will be up. The advantage to this is you can watch the Australian GP   ;)

Shame about the buffet, there are various food outlets round the other side of the stadium (nr the tescos) Burger King, Frankie & Benny"s, Pizza hut etc.

Cheers Leigh, found the site. Does anyone know if this is dealer dealt or self deal also looks like an interesting tourny at 4.30 20k starting stack anyone played this assume it"s 15 minute blinds?

Can anyone remember the last decent free buffet?

Glad these are being canned - I know it means a bit of extra expense, but the buffets last year were so poor they actually took a lot away from the overall experience.

The "paid for" food in the casinos is generally ok. It also means the dinner break can be spent at the bar and not in a queue.
